College Basketball Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (11/19)

The 2024-25 NCAA Men’s College Basketball season is well underway. We’re heading toward overseas and holiday tournament time, and that’s always a good time. I’ve been betting pretty heavily and managed to place second among all handicappers in winning percentage on another website.

I’ll stress to you again if you want to have success, find a handful of teams that you trust. Play three, four, or five conferences, and know everything about those teams. Do not try and bet aimlessly on 300+ teams, as there is never a way to know who is hurt, or who is struggling with their shot. I mean, there is a way, but I assume you have a full-time job, family, friends, etc., and you’re not watching 60-80 hours of basketball seven days a week. Save that for me. I’ve watched games like Division III Fredonia State vs. Buffalo, IU Indianapolis vs. Iowa State, plenty of Incarnate Word basketball, Big West battles, and all of the Field of 68 games on a feed on X. I fell in and out of love with the North Florida Ospreys of the Atlantic Sun. I am a secret lover of America East Conference and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) basketball games on ESPN+. I’ll try and steer you in the right direction, and do the studying so you don’t have to. Will there be rough patches? Of course. But, if we stay the course, do homework, and don’t just bet to bet, we’re going to build up our bankroll this season. Let’s get it!

Let’s keep that bankroll in the black with our best college basketball picks for Tuesday, November 19.

Tuesday’s Best College Basketball Picks

Last Week: 3-1 (75%, +190) | Season: 5-1 (83.3%, +390) | Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | All picks are for 1 unit

Cleveland State Vikings (+920) at Minnesota Golden Gophers (-2000) | O/U 134.5 (-106/-118)

The Cleveland State Vikings (3-2) venture into Big Ten country for the second time this season, and they hope it ends much better this time against the Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-1). The game tips at 7 p.m., and it can be viewed or streamed on Big Ten Network.

Cleveland State was thrashed 101-53 at Michigan in the opener, but it has since rebounded with three victories in the past four games. It was a 23.5-point underdog at Kansas State on Nov. 9, covering in a 77-64 loss. It posted a win at Valparaiso as a 3.5-point underdog while pushing past Eastern Michigan 71-63 as a 7-point favorite. Not only is that three consecutive covers for Cleveland State, but the defense has been playing pretty well, too, bouncing back from that Michigan beating with three consecutive Under results, including the K-State loss.

For Minnesota, it spanked Oral Roberts in the opener, 80-57, covering as a 15.5-point favorite on Nov. 6 as the Under (146) cashed. The next three games resulted in low-scoring games, including a loss to North Texas on Nov. 13 as a 2.5-point favorite. The Golden Gophers have cobbled together just 55.0 PPG in the past two games while allowing 55.0 PPG. That’s not exactly against top-tier talent, as it came in the loss to the Mean Green and a win over Yale. The Under is a perfect 4-0 in four games for Minnesota, too.

Let’s go with the Vikings catching the two touchdowns and a hook, while also going low on the total, as both of these teams have been offensively challenged lately.

Pick: Cleveland State +14.5 (-108) & Under 134.5 Points (-118)

Eastern Kentucky Colonels (-385) at Chicago State Cougars (+290) | O/U 147.5 (-112/-108)

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels (2-1) hit the road for the Windy City to battle the Chicago State Cougars (0-4) at the Jones Convocation Center. This is real degenerate stuff, but let’s roll with it. Ha. It’s a 7 p.m. ET tip, but no major TV stream is available.

EKU of the Atlantic Sun has been impressive out of the chute, including an 82-78 road win at East Tennessee State as a 12-point underdog on Nov. 8. The Colonels suffered a 75-62 loss at Clemson as a 22-point underdog, but EKU was able to comfortably cover in that one. Davontae Blanton has hit 50.0% of his field-goal attempts while averaging a team-best 17.0 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 3.7 APG, and 2.3 BPG through three games to date.

For Chicago State, it is licking its wounds after a couple of embarrassing losses at Texas and at San Francisco. Against the Longhorns, CSU suffered a 105-58 loss as a 30-point underdog, and at USF, it was an 82-37 drumming as a 27.5-point underdog.

The Cougars have been home just once this season, and it was embarrassed by Youngstown State 80-60 in front of a smattering of home folks as a 5.5-point underdog. If you’re doing the math, that’s three straight losses by 20 or more points since Nov. 9 with an average deficit of 37.3 PPG. It hasn’t all been bad, as Chicago State played Loyola-Chicago tough in a 79-72 loss in the opener as a 21.5-point ‘dog. But since then, the Cougs are 0-3 ATS.

Picks: Eastern Kentucky -7.5 (-110)

Texas-Arlington Mavericks (+106) at Missouri State Bears (-128) | O/U 152.5 (-110/-110)

The UTA Mavericks (2-2) of the WAC and Missouri State Bears (2-1) of the Missouri Valley Conference clash at the Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield, Mo. at 8 p.m., and the game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.

The Mavericks have rolled up 90 or more points in three of four games to date, and they have cashed the Over in both games with a total available. Now, it dropped 90 in a win over North Texas-Dallas, a lower-division team, and it scored 95 points in a rout of another lower-level team, Texas College. However, it also hung with USC in a 98-95 loss as a 16-point underdog, and it had a respectable 77 points in a loss at Louisiana Tech.

For MO State of the MVC, it dropped a 72-65 loss at Butler in the opener, cashing low in that one while covering as a 17-point underdog. Don’t be dissuaded from playing the Over here, as Butler is a defensive-minded team, and it dictated the pace at Hinkle Fieldhouse that night. Last time out against Tulsa, MO State outlasted the Golden Hurricane 111-106 in triple-overtime, as the Bears rolled up their most points since dropping 118 points in a game in 1976.

We’re going with Over, hoping the Bears didn’t use all of their offensive bite against the Golden Cane.

Pick: Over 152.5 Points (-110)
