Tuesday’s Best College Basketball Picks

Last Week: 2-1 (66.7%, +98) | Season: 11-2 (84.6%, +888) | Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | All picks are for 1 unit

Delaware State Hornets (+590) at Delaware Blue Hens (-950) | O/U 148.5 (-112/-112)

The Delaware State Hornets (3-5) and rival Delaware Blue Hens (4-3) meet at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, DE. Del State is coming off a 90-68 loss at Texas last time out, easily covering a 34.5-point number. That was the first cover of the season for the MEAC squad.

However, Delaware State always seems to get up for playing Delaware. While UD has won seven of the past eight matchups, the Hornets have covered in five of the past six games, including four in a row as a double-digit underdog.  The Hornets last beat the Blue Hens 73-71 as a 21-point underdog on Dec. 19, 2018.

Proceed with caution, as the Blue Hens are on a heater with a 5-0 ATS mark in the past five outings. However, weirdly, Delaware is 5-0 ATS in five games as an underdog, while going 0-2 ATS this season as a favorite. Look for Del State to at least keep Delaware within arm’s length.

Pick: Delaware State +12.5 (-106)

High Point Panthers (-110) at UNC Greensboro Spartans (-110) | O/U 136.5 (-112/-112)

These North Carolina Triad neighbors square off at Fleming Gymnasium in Greensboro at 7 p.m. ET, and you can view or stream this game on ESPN+.

The High Point Panthers (8-1) head into this one with the UNC Greensboro Spartans (3-4) with four consecutive wins in the series. High Point has just one blemish, a 71-61 loss against Missouri State on Nov. 24. The Panthers are 1-6 ATS, so as an underdog, it makes HPU look like a risky play.

However, UNCG has dropped two in a row as a favorite against San Jose State and UTEP. After opening the season 4-0 ATS, the Spartans have failed to cover in the past two.

We’ll also take a look at the Under in this game, as UNCG has cashed low in four in a row, scoring 64 or fewer points in three of the past four games, while allowing 69 or fewer points in four in a row, and six of seven outings. For HPU, the Under has cashed in five of the past seven games.

Picks: High Point Moneyline (-110) & Under 136.5 (-112)

Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (+800) at Grand Canyon Antelopes (-1400) | O/U 143.5 (-110/-110)

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (5-1) make their first trip to the mainland to battle the Grand Canyon Antelopes (4-1) at Global Credit Union Arena in Phoenix with a tip time of 9 p.m. ET, and like most obscure games, you can check it out on ESPN+.

Hawaii has been pretty respectable, going 2-2 ATS in four games with a spread so far. While it failed to cover against Weber State on Nov. 17, it won 73-68 in overtime. The only time Hawaii was blown out came in an 87-69 loss to a ranked North Carolina at the Stan Sheriff Center as a 15.5-point ‘dog at home.

For Grand Canyon, it has had some trouble ticking off covers this season. It grabbed a 78-71 win on a neutral floor against Stanford as a 1-point underdog, its first cover of the season, last Tuesday. GRC opened the season 0-5 ATS, including 0-4 ATS as a double-digit favorite. Let’s keep backing the underdog until the Antelopes start to cover some of those games.

Pick: Hawaii +13.5 (-102)
