Wednesday’s College Basketball Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | Last Time: 2-1 | Season: 2-1

Davonte Gaines Over 9.5 Points (-110)

If there is anywhere to attack Seton Hall, it’s from beyond the arc. Over 35% of opponents’ points come from deep, and the Pirates ranks 264th in perimeter defense. Providence has one of the most significant home-court advantages in all of basketball, ranking eighth in the home-court Haslametrics metric, so I am comfortable playing this prop.

I tagged Davonte Gaines because 80% of his shots are from deep. He has heated up in conference play, shooting an impressive 45% from three-land, the fifth-highest among all DI players. He’s tallied double-digit points in each of his last three games and took double-digit three attempts in each of his last two. The opportunity will abound; he just has to sink ’em.

Jamison Battle Over 5.5 Rebounds (+112)

Ideally, I would bet Zed Key here and his rebound props, but there currently isn’t a market for it. Keep your eyes out because the Ohio State Center should eat on the glass tonight. The next best option, however, is Jamison Battle.

Considering how bad of a rebounding team Rutgers is, the 6-7 power forward will have ample opportunity on the boards tonight. Coming in at 323rd in the nation at defensive rebounding, Ohio State will have a ton of second-chance looks. Battle should snag a few offensive boards. On the other side of the ball, the Scarlet Knights are abysmal offensively, so I am expecting missed shot after missed shot. Battle has snagged three offensive rebounds alone in each of his last two games, and at plus odds, this is a hammer of a play.

Nate Santos Over 11.5 Points (+100)

For another plus-odds bet, let’s keep it fun with the run-and-gun Dayton Flyers, who own the second-best perimeter shooting squad in the country. A big reason for that is the one and only Nate Santos. My man is shooting over 52% from beyond the arc this year, and going against a sub-100-ranked Davidson defense. He should slice and dice his way to at least 12 points.

Haslametrics projects nearly half of Dayton’s shots to be from beyond the arc against this Davidson defense, over 10% higher than the DI average. Santos will have his looks, and he is a true gunner. He may score 20 tonight if the cards fall right.
