College Football: Army vs. Navy Anytime Touchdown Scorer (2023)
We're through the regular season and championship weekend of college football. It's always bittersweet because that means we're inching closer to the NFL draft. But before we move any further, we have to talk about the best football game of the year. With that, here's my anytime touchdown scorer for Army vs Navy this weekend.

Army vs. Navy Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Without question, this is my favorite game of the year. While it signals the end of college football, there's nothing quite like the camera panning to the crowd filled with our military and football being played on the field. And it's smash-mouth football, too. This year, the game is being played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
When looking at both teams, they're each 5-6 on the year and one of them will earn a .500 record by game’s end. Army has won five of the past seven games. Prior to that, Navy had won 14 consecutive games.
Even though Army is playing better football in recent weeks, it's the Midshipmen that have been the more consistent team this season. Much of that is credited to Navy running back Alex Tecza. So far this season, Tecza has 117 carries for 724 yards and five touchdowns. Additionally, Navy is one of the top rushing attacks in the country with 200.5 rushing yards per game. For Army, they're going to have to find ways to stop the run but they've struggled to do that. So far this year, the Black Knights allow 180.5 rushing yards per game and that's one of the worst marks for any defense in the country.
Considering how the Midshipmen use Tecza, it wouldn't be surprising to see him be the focal point for Navy's offense. The last time he played a run defense this bad was in the 5th game of the season against North Texas. The Mean Green have the worst run defense in the country and Tecza tallied 137 rushing yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns. Regardless of the rivalry, this matchup bodes well for Tecza to find the end zone at least once.
