Saturdayâs Best CFB Player Props
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Antario Brown Over 92.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Northern Illinoisâs Antario Brown rushed 187 times for 1,164 yards this season. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry and scored 10 touchdowns to lead the way for the Huskies.
Brown has rushed for an average of at least 7.6 yards per carry in three of his last four games. Heâs broken out for multiple plays of 60+ yards this season and has the chance to do that again on Saturday.
Arkansas State has allowed 183.83 yards per game on the ground this season. We need just half of that for Antario Brown. The Red Wolves also lost three key defensive players to the transfer portal, including LB Javante Mackey, who already committed to Memphis.
Freddie Brock Over 63.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Freddie Brock didnât even earn one rushing attempt in Georgia Stateâs final game against Old Dominion. The senior came from Maine and saw just six carries for 31 yards this season, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
With running backs Marcus Carroll, KZ Adams and Jaquan Dixon all in the transfer portal, Brock will get his chance to shine. For example, Carroll saw 15 carries, and Adams added 11 in the game against Old Dominion. Brock could see 15+ carries in this game.
He added nearly 1,400 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns at Maine while playing 700 snaps last season. Brock essentially earned two yards per snap with Maine!
Meanwhile, Utah State has allowed nearly 145 yards per game on the ground this season. Theyâre a below-average run defense and havenât tackled very well.
Ben Bryant Over 178.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Northwestern finished the season with three consecutive wins against Wisconsin, Purdue and Illinois.
In those three games, Ben Bryant delivered at least 195 yards passing and added a long play of at least 41 yards in all those outings.
Heâll go up against a Utah Utes team with two key safeties opting out to prepare for the NFL Draft. The team also has two players at cornerback transferring out. However, JaTravis Broughton might still play in the game anyway.
Either way, Utahâs depth in the secondary is weak, and Bryant succeeded against difficult defenses late in the season.
Utah typically gets a lot of love for its defense, but the Utes allowed 203.08 passing yards per game, while Northwestern only gave up 182.83 passing yards per game. The secondary is beatable, and the Wildcats have a lot of momentum heading into this game.
The Wildcats exceeded expectations, while Utah did the exact opposite. Letâs take a chance on Bryant to have a good enough day passing.
