Rashad Amos Over 86.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

The Miami Ohio RedHawks won’t have Aveon Smith at quarterback. Instead, the RedHawks will use Henry Hesson, who has thrown only five passes in his college career. He’ll likely have a hard time against Appalachian State’s passing defense.

The Mountaineers have a fierce secondary and a pass rush that has played above average this year. However, while the Mountaineers have allowed under 200 yards passing per game this season, Appalachian State has also allowed over 175 yards on the ground.

That’s where Rashad Amos comes in. Amos earned 5.1 yards per carry for the RedHawks this season. He also rushed 177 times for 895 yards and earned 12 touchdowns. He was a workhorse during the season and will be a workhorse throughout this game.

The Mountaineers are much weaker against the run. Once Amos breaks out for a couple of big ones, he’ll surpass 86 rushing yards.

George Holani Under 73.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Boise State is taking on a UCLA program that has had a lot of movement in the last month. The UCLA Bruins lost S William Nimmo, S Kamari Ramsey, and CB John Humphrey to the transfer portal. Meanwhile, the PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Year, Laiatu Latu, has already opted out of this game.

Beyond that, defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn left to be the defensive coordinator at USC.

The defense doesn’t have much depth. It’s depleted. However, UCLA allowed 69.58 yards per game on the ground this season.

George Holani saw 117 carries for 610 yards this year. But he was the second running back for Boise State this season. Ashton Jeanty rushed for over 1,2000 yards and added 6.2 yards a carry. If anything, Jeanty is going to get more carries in this game. But despite everything going on with UCLA’s program, the run defense should still be good enough to hold the second running back of a team to under 73 yards rushing.

Tahj Brooks Over 124.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

The Texas Tech Red Raiders just lost 12 significant players to the transfer portal.

The Red Raiders will start Behren Morton at quarterback, who won’t have three of the top receivers in this game. But Tahj Brooks will play. He will be playing his final year for Texas Tech next season and is a game-changer.

Brooks added 268 carries for 1,443 yards for the Red Raiders this season. The senior running back added nine touchdowns and ran for 5.4 yards a carry.

Meanwhile, California allowed 132.58 yards per game on the ground this season. The run defense was average, and the missed tackles started stacking up this year. Brooks won’t play behind the usual Texas Tech offensive line. But no one would be surprised if Brooks saw 30+ carries in this game.
