College Football Bowl Game Prop Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (12/30)

Following a three-game slate on Thursday, the 2022 college football bowl season has one of its busiest days on Friday with 10 teams in action beginning at 12:00 PM EST as Maryland takes on (#23) NC State.

With the day rounding out with the Orange Bowl at 8:00 PM EST, let’s take a closer look at the spots I’m most dialed in on.

College Football Bowl Game Prop Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (12/30)

(#21) Notre Dame vs. (#19) South Carolina

The Notre Dame QB carousel will come full circle in this game, as Tyler Buchner, who started the season, will start this one following the departure of Drew Pyne. While Pyne is off to Arizona State, the Fighting Irish will also be without tight end Michael Mayer who is expected to be the first off the board in April’s NFL Draft.

South Carolina is likely licking its chops on the news, as they finished the season with one of the best secondaries in college football allowing just 199.5 yards per game through the air. Look for that to be the difference in this one.

Bet: Notre Dame Team Total – Under 28 (-110)

Pittsburgh vs. (#18) UCLA

Few teams will enter their bowl game with as many opt-outs and transfers as the Pitt Panthers; most notably their leading rusher Israel Abanikanda. For the Bruins, despite the disappointing end to the season, this is still a team that put up 39.6 points per game, finishing the year #3 in the nation in total offense at 507.9 yards per game.

With a host of opt-outs on the defensive side of the ball for the Panthers as well, look for a motivated UCLA offense to all but name their number in this one.

Bet: UCLA Team Total – Over 29.5 (-110)

(#6) Tennessee vs. (#7) Clemson

In the most notable game of the day, two top 10 teams that had CFP aspirations will square off in Miami for the Capital One Orange Bowl. For the Volunteers, they’ll be looking to compete without their primary workhorse, as QB Hendon Hooker tore his ACL down the stretch as the wheels came off for the Orangemen.

For Clemson, the benching of DJ Uiagalelei was too little too late for the Tigers, as this team is now firmly Cade Klubnik’s heading into next season. Still playing behind one of the nation’s best offensive lines and a litany of weapons at his disposal, look for Klubnik to put up at least a 35 spot.

Bet: Clemson Team Total – Over 33.5 (-120)
