College Football Playoff Same Game Parlay: Ohio State vs. Texas (Cotton Bowl)
With only three college football games left, bettors will soon need to turn to a different sport- but not yet! However, with so few games, bettors may want to pull out all the stops to maximize their earning potential on games like the Cotton Bowl with same-game parlays.
Just like traditional parlays, the House has the advantage. But with increased risk comes additional rewards. Of course, with each leg added, the risk grows exponentially along with the reward. On that note, let's check out a few examples.

Same Game Parlays: Cotton Bowl
SGP No. 1: If you think Ohio State is going to win...
- Ohio State -6 at -105
- Will Howard, OVER 249.5 Passing Yards at -117
- Quinshon Judkins, OVER 53.5 Rushing Yards at -117
- SGP Odds:+350 (odds via Caesars)
I wasn't a big Ohio State supporter heading into the quarter-final game vs. Oregon. But after watching the Buckeye offense decimate the Oregon defense, I may be coming around. Texas will put up a better fight than Oregon, but their defense is too fast for the Longhorns, and the offense has more weapons than the Texas defense can handle.
The first half may end with the score relatively close, but Ohio State will start hitting on a bunch of chunk yardage plays in the second half and take over the game. Look for the Buckeyes to win by double-digits.
After watching Arizona State carve up the Texas defense with the greatest of ease in the second half, Will Howard is going to go nuts. He may clear 250 yards in the first half. Quinshon Judkins is no Cam Skattebo, but he'll be able to pound out 53.5 rushing yards vs. this Texas defense.
A $100 wager will result in a $450 payday, your stake ($100) and $350 in winnings.
SGP No. 2: If you think Texas is going to win...
- Texas +6 at -110
- Quinn Ewers, 250+ Passing Yards -105
- To Throw 2+ touchdowns +100
- SGP Odds: +320 (DraftKings)
After watching Ohio State's last couple of games, there is something we can likely count on them for-points; lots of them. The Texas offense is not as explosive as Ohio State's, but the Longhorns can score some points, too. They may not win, but Texas will not lose by much.
To keep up with Will Howard and the Buckeyes offense, Ewers will have no choice but to throw often. But that's okay because Texas has a solid passing game. After watching Ewers go for 300+ against Arizona State and Georgia, he can get 250+ against OSU.
If he does, Ewers will probably have 2+ touchdown passes in the first half. But if he doesn't, he'll get a second one in garbage time.
A $100 wager will result in a $420 payday, your stake plus $320 in winnings.
SGP No. 3: If you're not pulling for either team and just want an exciting game...
- Will Howard To Throw 3+ Touchdown Passes at +188
- Jeremiah Smith, OVER 84.5 Receiving Yards at -114
- Matthew Golden, OVER 67.5 Receiving Yards at -114
- SGP Odds: +575
If you are not pulling for either team, then chances are you want an exciting game. You want to see the Ohio State team that jumped out to a 21-point first-quarter lead against Tennessee and a 34-point first-half vs. Oregon.
But that's not all. You'll want to see Quinn Ewers slicing and dicing up the Ohio State secondary. He'll undoubtedly target one of his favorites throughout the game, Matthew Golden, who had seven receptions for 149 yards vs. Arizona State.
If the Buckeyes get out to the kind of start they want, Will Howard will be looking for Jeremiah Smith early and often. Smith has gone for 100+ yards and two touchdowns in both CFP games. Howard may not get three touchdowns in the first half, but he'll get two and the third in the second half.
