College Football Playoff Same Game Parlay: Penn State vs. Boise State (Fiesta Bowl)
We have a One playoff game for New Year's Eve. It should be an interesting one as we have the sole Group of Five team taking on a powerhouse. That G5 program has the best running back in the country, Ashton Jeanty, who could break Barry Sanders' single-season rushing record, as he's only 131 yards away. Let's see if he can break and how Boise State will fare against Penn State.

Penn State vs. Boise State
- Leg 1: Penn State -11.5 (-108)
- Leg 2: Penn State over 31.5 Points (-130)
- Leg 3: Maddux Madsen 175+ Passing Yards (-115)
It's finally time for Boise State to prove they belong on the big stage. We might have already seen how they can perform against big-time competition.
It was early in the year, but they went toe-to-toe against now-No. 1 Oregon and lost 37-34 on a last-second field goal.
Ashton Jeanty was the key in that game against the Ducks and went for 192 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Oregon is fifth in opponent rush EPA, and Penn State is ninth.
This will be a tough game for BSU. Penn Stateâs run defense has only allowed a 130+ rusher twice this year. The Broncos have to go into the game knowing they cannot solely rely on Jeanty moving the ball; he needs to move the chains on key plays and keep the Nittany Lions guessing where they open up the passing game.
It could come down to quarterback play. BSU QB Maddux Madsen had a fine season with 2,714 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He had the benefit of opponents going all in to try and stop the run, so he was frequently able to find his spots. Penn State still has the advantage at quarterback with Drew Allar. He had one of his better seasons and has the better arm in terms of yards per reception (8.8) and he can also use his legs when he needs to
Boise State might have trouble finding offensive balance. Penn State may not because it also has the run game to compete, and it comes in the tandem of Nick Singleton and Kayton Allen, who are averaging four yards per carry.
We already saw PSU shut down SMU, a top-15 scoring offense with multiple running options and a solid quarterback. Jeanty could still put up an excellent performance, but they won't be able to stop Penn State, which has one of the top defenses in the country. As for Boise State's game against Oregon, that was very early in the season when Oregon wasn't playing at the level they are now. This could be a runaway for Penn State.
We're not taking any Jeanty props because the numbers are too high and too juicy. This game could go in a couple of different directions to where Jeanty could have his typical game or could get completely shut down.
