College Football Playoff Same Game Parlay: Texas vs. Arizona State (Peach Bowl)
Texas and Arizona State will be the first of three College Football Playoff (CFP) games to kick off on Wednesday.
The No. 5-ranked Texas Longhorns knocked off Clemson in the first round of the CFP, 38-24. Now, theyâll take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in the quarter-finals. Arizona State was the final team to get a bye week after winning the Big 12.
With this in mind, Iâve made a same-game parlay (SGP) for this College Football Playoff matchup. The Sun Devils last defeated Iowa State, 45-19, and theyâre currently on a six-game winning streak.
However, Texas, despite earning a win against Clemson, lost to Georgia in the SEC Championship game. Texas lost to Georgia twice this season, their only two losses. Can Arizona State be the second team to knock off Texas?
I built a same-game parlay for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl below. Letâs get to it.

Wednesdayâs Best Texas vs. Arizona State Same Game Parlay
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Texas Longhorns vs. Arizona State Sun Devils
- Leg 1: Sam Leavitt Over 168.5 Passing Yards (-114)
- Leg 2: Jaydon Blue Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-135)
- Leg 3: Gunnar Helm Under 45.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Sam Leavitt has totaled at least 219 passing yards in five of his last six games. Against Iowa State, he needed just 17 passing attempts to earn 219 passing yards. He completed only 12 passes in that Big 12 Championship game and still added 219 passing yards.
Texas has an elite secondary. The pass rush is also tremendous. But think about when Texas is up big by halftime. Arizona State will need to throw the ball aggressively. Leavitt has completed more than 70% of his passes in the last two games. Heâs been accurate. Iâll test my luck with Leavitt to record at least 169 yards passing.
Meanwhile, Gunnar Helm mightâve earned 77 receiving yards last game against Clemson. However, Isaiah Bond could return for this one, which wouldnât help the other receivers. Additionally, Helm has added at least 46 receiving yards in just three of his last six games. Arizona Stateâs best area on defense is also the secondary.
That said, Texas is going to score. Theyâll likely score rushing the football behind their two running backs. Lately, Jaydon Blue has capitalized. Heâs added at least one touchdown in three of his last four games, including two against Clemson in the College Football Playoff. Iâll ride Blue to add another touchdown in this one.
