Iowa State vs. Miami
- Leg 1: Over 57.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 2: Cam Ward 275+ Passing Yards (-125)
- Leg 3: Rocco Becht 244+ Passing Yards (-115)
This matchup features two teams that were in playoff contention for most of the season but struggled towards the end. Miami looked like one of the top teams in the nation entering the seasonâs final month: No. 4 in the nation, top-scoring offense and Cam Ward was a Heisman Trophy favorite. They unraveled with losses in two of their final three games, which took them out of the ACC Championship and the College Football Playoff (CFB).
They still finished with the most points per game (43.1). Ward had the most passing touchdowns (36) and was second in passing yards (4,123). They can attack on the ground or air and frequently grab big gains.
As much as the Hurricanes can get the big play, they also allowed them. That kept their opponents in contention in games where they shouldn't have been. Iowa State can get chunk yards through the air with Rocco Becht, who was 15th in passing yards 3,235 and had two 1,000+ yards receivers (Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel), so Miami's secondary might struggle with containing two big-time receivers.
This has the makings of a high-scoring and entertaining game.

BYU vs. Colorado
- Leg 1: Over 55.5 Points (-108)
- Leg 2: Jake Retzlaff 27+ Rushing Yards (-125)
- Leg 3: BYU Team Total Points Over 24.5 Points (-140)
Colorado's expectations were much lower coming in after their disappointing 2023 season. That might have helped take the pressure off because they were outstanding in their first season in the Big 12 and were in contention to play in the conference title game until the last week.
That had to do with Shedeur Sanders, one of the best quarterbacks in the country with 3,926 passing yards and 35 touchdowns. It helped to have Travis Hunter catching passes. The Heisman Trophy winner had 1,152 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, solidifying this as one of the best tandems in the country.
Surprisingly, the two potential top-five draft picks have elected to play, but they have a hefty insurance policy taken out in case of a significant injury. This could deter them from playing all four quarters.
Their Big 12 counterpart was the conference standings leader for a long time, but BYU took some losses, leading them to miss the conference championship. They are a well-balanced team but look for their offense to be the most important factor in this game. Jake Retzlaff will have the ability to move the ball on the ground and air. The best news is that he will have all of his favorite offensive weapons for most of this game but he'll be without Darius Lassiter for the first half due to an altercation he had in their last game.
Colorado defensively will give up points and could struggle against a great offense. Although BYU had one of the better defenses in the conference, don't look for them to shut down the best offense in the Big 12.
