College Football Week 1 Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions

We’re onto Week 1 in the college football season!

It can get overwhelming quickly for any bettors looking at the college football board. Therefore, I’ve done the hard work for you.

Here are my top three player props for Week 1 in college football.

Saturday’s Best CFB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Chandler Morris 250+ Passing Yards (-146)

TCU went to the National Championship last year. At the start of the season, Chandler Morris beat out Max Duggan for the starting quarterback job. Morris went 13-for-20 with 111 passing yards before an injury sidelined him.

The rest is history. Duggan was a Heisman finalist and took TCU to heights nobody could’ve ever imagined.

But Morris experienced that Championship last year with Duggan. He likely learned a lot about the system and its playmakers, and TCU believed in him more than Duggan to begin the year.

Morris made his way to TCU in 2021. He originally signed with Oklahoma in 2020. In 2021, he won the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors against Baylor when he totaled 531 yards of offense, with 461 passing yards. He did with TCU and put together the second-best total in TCU history regarding yards.

He’s a dual-threat quarterback that will help make big plays down the field. He’ll keep Colorado honest. Plus, there’s so much hype surrounding Coach Prime’s Colorado team. But that defense doesn’t look as good on paper as the offense.

Kaytron Allen Over 0.5 Touchdowns (-110)

Nicholas Singleton typically gets all the love in that Penn State backfield. But what about Kaytron Allen?

He was another freshman that dominated the Big Ten last season. Penn State has a perfect 1-2 punch and will play Singleton and Allen a lot in each game.

Allen added 167 carries for 867 yards and scored 10 touchdowns, averaging 5.2 yards per carry. How many backup running backs scored 10+ touchdowns in a season as a freshman?

The Nittany Lions are 20.5-point favorites against the West Virginia Mountaineers. West Virginia’s on a downward spiral, while Penn State might be a contender for the College Football Playoffs. I’d projected Allen to earn at least ten carries, if not more. He’ll get his fair share. In this blowout, many players at Penn State will find the endzone.

Spencer Rattler Over 252.5 Passing Yards (-114)

Spencer Rattler has been incredibly inconsistent in college football throughout his career. He threw 3,026 yards but only added 18 passing touchdowns with 12 interceptions. His QBR was 59.3 last season.

But he added 438 yards against Tennessee and 360 yards against Clemson to finish the regular season. He’s matured as a quarterback and sounds like he’s become an outstanding leader for the program. Toward the end of last season, Rattler proved that the hype was still there.

It’s his job, as a senior, to make sure that hype doesn’t go away throughout the entire season. What better way to do it than against North Carolina?
