No. 19 Miami at Florida
- Leg 1: Miami -2.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Cam Ward 270+ Passing Yards (+130)
- Leg 3: Jacoby Jones 60+ Receiving Yards (-125)
Despite its carousel of big-name head coaches trying to do so, Miami has not been the powerhouse it once was. Mario Cristobal is next on the list to try and bring the Hurricanes a National Championship, but so far, it hasn't worked out, as the team is only 12-13 in his last two seasons. Washington State transfer Cam Ward is the new quarterback, and he possesses a big arm and had 7.7 yards per completion and a 66.6 completion percentage.
Miami's rush defense was superb last year, finishing 11th in rushing yards per game, but unfortunately, the passing defense was not. They have brought in an all-new secondary, so hopefully, they can get better.
What could help Miami is that Florida's offense had a lot of trouble going vertical last year. Graham Mertz isn't a big-time passer and finds his spots, but the offense struggled at times to give him efficient time in the pocket and give lanes to their running backs.
Miami getting a win against an SEC team, even a below-average one, is a good way to start the season, especially if they can do it in a hostile environment like The Swamp.

No. 7 Notre Dame at No. 20 Texas A&M
- Leg 1: Texas A&M -3 (-112)
- Leg 2: Under 46 Total Points (-112)
- Leg 3: Jeremiyah Love Anytime TD Scorer (-105)
Jimbo Fisher was a disaster for Texas A&M, so even with having to pay him over $50 million, he was still sent packing. In comes Mike Elko, who Jimbo Fisher hired a few years ago and now replaces him after going 16-9 in two seasons at Duke. Elko made the Aggies a defensive powerhouse as a defensive coordinator and plans to bring back that identity.
His offense looks promising, led by Conner Weigman. He had a great start to last season, with two games with over 330 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns in three full games before an injury ended his season.
There's a lot of familiarity for Elko in this matchup; he was also a defensive coordinator for Notre Dame, and quarterback Riley Leonard will debut for Notre Dame after spending the last three seasons at Duke. He had a breakout 2022 season, and some put him in the Heisman talk going into last year, but he struggled, possibly due to lingering injuries. A broken ankle in October finally knocked him out for the season.
Whether or not Leonard excels, or it's just like the Sam Hartman experiment, this team will depend on the defense. Marcus Freeman became the defensive coordinator not too long after Elko, and as a head coach, he's led the Fighting Irish to be a top-20 defense in each of his seasons as head coach.
Elkoâs familiarity with Leonard will help, but this will be scoring with the Aggies pulling out a big win.
