Top College Football Odds & Picks: Week 11 (Wednesday)
Ohio vs. Kent State
Ohio takes on Kent State as midweek MAC football continues on Wednesday. Itâs been a disappointing season for Kent State as they rank as the worst team in the country amongst many metrics. The Flashes have yet to win a game this year and are losing by an average of 29.6 PPG including 18.3 PPG in MAC play. They sit last in the MAC in yards per game at 250.9 YPG, which is almost 70 less than the second-worst offense. Ohio has a strong offense, but theyâre a run-first team. With almost 53% of their total offense coming on the ground to the tune of 200.5 YPG. Itâs tough to imagine Kent State has much success offensively and Ohio should be able to move the ball on the ground pretty easily. Although Ohio could very well cover this large spread, itâs easier to see a low-scoring game where Ohio controls the ball and holds Kent State out of the endzone.
Pick: Under 53

Northern Illinois vs. Western Michigan
Remember when Northern Illinois was on top of the college football world after defeating Notre Dame on the road? That feels like years ago now, and the Huskies have gone 2-4 since that colossal upset. I find it interesting that NIU is laying a short number on the road against Western Michigan given their recent form. While I get squeamish about laying points with road teams in the MAC, I do agree with this line. The NIU defense is the best unit in this game, leading the conference in both rushing and passing yards allowed. Thatâll be important against a Broncos running game thatâs best in the MAC. The Huskies should be able to limit that strength, while also having plenty of success on the ground. NIU is second in the MAC in rushing, while Western Michigan ranks ninth in run defense. I also donât mind a play on the under.
Pick: Northern Illinois -1.5
