Top College Football Odds & Picks: Week 12
Ball State vs. Buffalo
Midweek MAC action starts back up in Buffalo, New York as the Ball State Cardinals come into town. Win or lose, Ball State has managed to keep every MAC game close. They have two 2-point wins, two 3-point losses, and a 6-point loss. This current line sits right in that range. Buffalo has been the more successful team this year with wins and losses but the defense has been suspect. Last week, they gave up 30 points to Akron, which was the most points the Zips have scored against an FBS opponent. The Akron QB managed 354 yards and 4 TDs. Ball State has a pretty good QB of their own in Kadin Semonza who has 2,029 yards, which ranks him second in the MAC in that stat. The Cardinals, with their knack to keep MAC games close this season and the matchup with their pass game against the Buffalo defense, are live underdogs on Tuesday night.
Pick: Ball State +5

Western Michigan vs. Bowling Green
This Western Michigan-Bowling Green matchup has lots of postseason implications. Western Michigan and Bowling Green are each 4-1 in the MAC and 5-4 overall. A win tonight would mean an opportunity to play in a bowl game. More importantly, a victory would give the winning team an even better chance of playing in the MAC Championship. Ultimately, Bowling Green has held its opponents to just 21 points per game. The defense is elite, especially in the secondary, where the Falcons have allowed just 168.33 yards passing per game. On the other hand, they'll battle a ferocious Western Michigan offense that has added 33.33 points per game. Western Michigan has rushed for nearly 210 yards per game, mainly behind Jaden Nixon. This portion of the game will be super exciting. However, I still think Western Michigan can put up enough points to at least cover against Bowling Green. Give me WMU +9.
Pick: WMU +9

Central Michigan vs. Toledo
The Central Michigan Chippewas have lost four consecutive games, allowing at least 27 points in all four matchups. The defense has a solid pass rush and a good run defense. Ultimately. The Chippewas are good on the defensive line. However, the secondary has faltered a bit, and the tackling hasn't been crisp for this team. In addition, the offense has tried four different quarterbacks throughout the season. At this time, they're using backup Tyler Jefferson. He's a freshman with a 17.5 QBR, who went 1-for-7 against Bowling Green before another freshman, Jadyn Glasser, came in. Glasser looked the best last week, but it's still unclear if he'll start or even play. In addition, Toledo's defense has allowed just 22.33 points per game and is viewed as one of the best defenses in the conference. I'll take Toledo at -14.5.
Pick: Toledo -14.5
