College Football Week 2 Player Prop Bets & Picks (2024)
Week 0 and Week 1 of the college football season are in the books, and already we have seen big movement in the Heisman Trophy futures odds, especially after big days from Coloradoâs two-way star Travis Hunter, and with Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava looking like he is every bit as advertised. I have scoured all of the top matchups and comprised my list of College Footballâs Week 2 Player Prop Bets and Picks.
Hopefully this weekâs picks are as profitable as last Saturdayâs 2-1 day, which included a +150 cash when Donovan Edwards found the endzone in the first half for Michigan.

Saturday's Best College Football Player Prop Bets & Picks
Letâs dive into our top college football Week 2 player prop bet picks on Saturdayâs slate of games.

Quinn Ewers (Texas) Under 1.5 passing touchdowns (-104)
DraftKings has Ewers at -700 odds to throw at least one touchdown pass, but there is a significant drop-off from that number to his -120 odds to throw multiple touchdowns, as oddsmakers are tipping their hands that one passing touchdown could be his ceiling.
Ewers faced five ranked teams last year, including the playoffs, and threw just one touchdown in three of those games. Ewers' six games of 300+ passing yards last year tied Colt McCoy's school record set in 2008. However, with the game having a low point total (the O/U has lowered from 44.5 to 42.5), I expect Texas to not feel compelled to throw the ball all over the field, especially if its run defense that ranked in the top five in the country in yards per game allowed (82.4), yards per rush (2.9), and rushing touchdowns allowed (nine) limits Michigan's ground game.
Ewers O/U for passing yards is 235.5, and he threw one or fewer touchdowns in five of the 10 games since 2022 when passing for 235 or fewer yards. Thus, I am buying that Michiganâs defense will keep Ewers from lighting up the scoreboard through the air.
Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee) anytime touchdown scorer (+122)
Nico Iamaleava's debut at Tennessee was one of the most highly anticipated in school history, and he even exceeded expectations after throwing for 314 yards and three touchdowns in limited action against Chattanooga. His performance was so impressive that college football host Barrett Sallee called it one of the most impressive halves of football by a player in Tennessee history.
Iamaleava was not asked to do much with his legs as he only rushed four times for six yards last week. However, expect that to ramp up against a Wolfpack defense that should not impede Iamaleava much in this matchup after having lost three of their four defenders who had at least six tackles for loss a year ago.
There is a big discrepancy on Iamaleava's anytime touchdown odds across our top sports betting sites, as bet365 and Caesars offer +105 odds or shorter. With the quarterback's implied probability as high as 50/50 based on Caesars' +100 odds, bettors are getting great value at FanDuel's +122 odds for Iamaleava to find the endzone.
Travis Hunter (Colorado) Over 83.5 receiving yards (-114)
Two-way star Travis Hunter's Heisman Trophy odds shortened considerably from +5000 at BetMGM before the season opener to +1500 after his seven-catch, 132-yard, and three-touchdown performance against North Dakota State.
The strength of Nebraska's defense is on the defensive line (it was Phil Steele's fifth-ranked unit). That line was a big reason the Cornhuskers ranked in the top 25 last year in Rush Success Rate allowed, Rush PPA allowed, and Rush Explosiveness allowed. Thus, Coach Prime is likely to attack Nebraska through the air and to let his son Shedeur Sanders throw for most of the game, with Hunter likely to be the biggest beneficiary.
Hunter accomplished what he did against the Bison on 55 offensive snaps, and game flow suggests Colorado should need to pass plenty if it is losing throughout. Thus, Hunter should be able to produce 84-plus receiving yards, and I would not put anyone off looking into his alternate receiving yards total for plus-money odds.
