  • #16 LSU @ South Carolina: The Gamecocks host a ranked LSU team as seven-point underdogs in a much-anticipated SEC clash. LSU's defense has looked shaky, and South Carolina, led by dual-threat QB Lenor Sellers and transfer RB Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, may have enough to cover the spread. However, with LSU’s history of playing high-scoring games, the over might be the best bet. LSU has won seven straight against South Carolina since 2002, but the question remains whether their defense can hold up.
  • #24 Boston College @ #6 Missouri: Missouri faces Boston College as 16.5-point favorites, but all eyes are on the status of Missouri's star wide receiver, Luther Burden. Burden's availability could swing the spread later in the week, and without him, Missouri's offense may struggle to put up big numbers. BC has been riding high after upsetting FSU and ranking in the top 15 in total defense, but Missouri's defense - ranked No. 1 overall - may put an end to BC's surprising run.
  • #18 Notre Dame @ Purdue: Notre Dame, coming off an upset loss to Northern Illinois, takes on Purdue as 11.5-point favorites. The Irish have shown inconsistency on offense, with QB Riley Leonard struggling to find his rhythm. Meanwhile, Purdue is coming off a bye week and has a well-rounded offense led by QB Hudson Card. Despite Notre Dame's dominance over Purdue in recent years, this game feels like one to avoid betting, with emotions running high on both sides.

What is Betting Against the Spread?

Betting "against the spread" refers to the act of choosing the winning team based on a numeric handicap placed on the team that oddsmakers believe is superior, rather than picking the outright winner. For example, if the Rams face the Bengals, and oddsmakers set the spread at Rams -3.5, you would need Los Angeles to win by 4 or more points in order to cash your Rams bet.

What is an Over/Under Bet?

Over/Under is a wager based on how many points you think will be scored in a specific game. Oddsmakers set the total, and bettors decide whether the final score will be higher or lower than that number. If an Over/Under is set at 44.5 points and you bet Over, you will need the combined score of both teams to be 45 points or higher to win your bet.

What is a Moneyline Bet?

A moneyline bet involves choosing which team you believe will win a specific matchup. The moneyline favorite carries a minus designation, like -130. This means that you need to wager $130 to earn a $100 profit. Conversely, the underdog carries a plus designation, like +110. This means that you win $110 in profit on a $100 bet.
