College Football Week 4 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Missouri vs. Auburn

SEC play will begin on Saturday at Jordan O'Hare Stadium for both teams when 2-1 Missouri travels south to take on Auburn. For the visitors, last week served as a get-right game, as they beat FCS foe Abilene-Christian, though failed to cover winning 34-17. The win came just a week after failing their first real test of the season miserably, losing 12-40 to Kansas State on the road.

Speaking of miserable, the home team in this matchup got trounced last week (also at home) to Penn State, losing 12-41 in a game that was never close. Part of the problem has been inconsistency at the quarterback position for Auburn, as TJ Finley and Robby Ashford have traded time. This week, however, Finley is dealing with an upper-body injury, as Ashford will all but certainly be given the start.

To this point, however, Auburn's offensive line has done little to show me they can stop a defense from getting into the backfield, and I just can't back them. With head coach Bryan Harsin's job likely on the line with a loss, I expect his former protege Eli Drinkwitz and Mizzou to keep this one close.

Pick: Missouri +7
