College Football Week 5 Player Prop Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions

LSU WR Kayshon Boutte OVER 55.5 yards receiving at Auburn (-115)

Lock it in kids. Boutte has not be targeted nearly enough this season, he and QB Jayden Daniels are still developing chemistry and that keeps this number low. Add in that former LSU WR Koy Moore (now at Auburn) literally called out Boutte as overrated this week and the star receiver will be motivated. This number is very low to me.

Michigan RB Blake Corum OVER 83.5 yards rushing at Iowa (-115)

Iowa is missing star LB Jestin Jacobs and this will be a physical, smash mouth football game between two times that run first and pass when needed. Corum will get the carries and is coming off a 30-carry game against Maryland for over 300 yards. Backup Donovan Edwards status is still questionable and if he does return it won’t be at 100-percent so mash this OVER.

Illinois QB Tommy DeVito UNDER 199.5 passing yards at Wisconsin (-115)

This struck me as high in a game I feel will be slow paced with little passing. If Illinois falls behind they will need to throw but I see a whole lot of RB Chase Brown here and not a big Devito game. The Wisconsin defense is good against teams not named Ohio State and he’s not an accomplished passer.

Arkansas RB Raheim Sanders OVER 0.5 rushing TDs vs. Alabama (+135)

This is a tough one but I like the plus odds here. Arkansas can run the ball, they scored more than 30 points on Alabama last season and even if they fall behind Sam Pittman won’t change his gameplan much as he wants to run and be physical. Sanders didn’t find the end zone last weekend against Texas A&M so he’s due.

Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen OVER 0.5 receiving touchdowns at Illinois (+950)

Am I crazy? I could be but when I saw this number I had to share it and tell everyone to take a flier on it. Don’t bet the house, but a $10 bet reaps a nice little reward here if it happens. Allen has only caught 13 passes in his young career and none for a score but can you think of a better play call inside the 5-yard-line that no one would expect. Illinois plays a brand of defense where they fly to the football so play action could keep them off balance and Allen is a big target. Plus it’s fun to see a rare +950 out there.

What are Player Props?
Player props refer to wagers that bettors can make based on player performance in a specific game. The majority of player props are built around the most common statistical benchmarks for a specific sport such as yards and touchdowns in football. Most player props are straight over/under plays that open at or near -110 and are adjusted based on where the money lands. Examples of baseball player prop bets include over/under 4.5 strikeouts for a starting pitcher or over/under 1.5 total bases for a hitter.
