College Football Week 6 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Best Parlay Bets (2022)
We are onto Week 6 in college football as conference play ramps up across the country. In nearly every conference, teams are battling it out this weekend, and there are three games, in particular, Iâm keying in on.
Letâs dive in.

Leg #1. Memphis -3 (-110) vs. Houston
As they prepare for an AAC rivalry game, Memphis just defeated Temple 24-3 the previous week despite a poor first half in which they were held without a point for the first time since 2017. With a win on Friday, the Tigers (4-1, 2-0 AAC) can keep a commanding lead in the conference standings and all but rule out Houstonâs chances of making a comeback during the regular season to return to the league title game at the end of the year.
Last week, Houston (2-3, 0-1 AAC) scored 14 straight points in the fourth quarter, but Tulane tied the score with a touchdown with 39 seconds remaining. The Cougars elected to receive the ball first in overtime and made a field goal attempt, but Tulane ultimately won because of a game-winning touchdown pass on their possession.
Only the fourth player in Houston history to reach 10,000 total career yards in a losing effort, quarterback Clayton Tune passed for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Houston has won 16 of their 30 games against the Tigers. I believe a significant portion of this line is based on previous squads. However, thatâs something Houston coach Dana Holgerson undoubtedly wishes he had.
I like Memphis to shut down Tune and get this one done at home.
Leg #2. Stanford ML (+230) vs. Oregon State
The Oregon State Beavers are looking to get back on track in this game after losing their first two PAC-12 games following starting their non-conference schedule 3-0. The Beavers were run off the field at Utah last weekend after pushing USC to the limit the week before and losing 14-17 in a closely contested game. The offense stalled all night long at Utah, throwing four interceptions on the night as they lost 42-16.
Given that the team has only defeated Colgate this season, Stanford is off to one of its poorest starts under David Shaw. The teamâs defense, which has now given up 40+ points in three straight games while being 0-3 in conference play, has been the main problem. Quarterback Tanner McKee had improved before last weekâs drubbing at Oregon, and I think we see him get back on track here.
I anticipate a better performance on The Farm as the Cardinal come home for the first time in a month and finish this one for coach Shaw.
Leg #3. Georgia/Auburn Under 49 (-110)
This weekend, one of the oldest rivalries in college football will again be played in Athens, Georgia, between the second-ranked Georgia Bulldogs and the Auburn Tigers. The Bulldogs may have been thinking ahead to this one after needing a 10-point fourth-quarter comeback to secure a 26-22 victory at Missouri the previous week. Fortunately, they had Heisman contender Stetson Bennett in the clutch, who enters this game with 1,536 passing yards.
Last week, the Tigers had a 17-0 lead over LSU in the first half before losing at home, 21-17, after being blanked in the second. Robby Ashford, the teamâs most recent quarterback, has played much less consistently for new head coach Bryan Harsin, completing just 54% of his passes for 709 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
However, Auburn relies heavily on their running game, which I expect Georgia to counter well this week. This should cause a significant amount of time to be lost from the clock, keeping this one under the bloated total.
