College Football Week 7 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Alabama vs. Tennessee

The biggest game in a decade in Knoxville will go off Sunday afternoon, as #1 Alabama comes to town for a top 10 matchup against Tennesee (#8). Possibly looking ahead to this one last week, the Crimson Tide needed a final second defensive stop at home to take care of Texas A&M, winning 24-20 and losing the yardage battle through the air. With freshman QB Jalen Milroe filling in for the injured Bryce Young, the Alabama offense produced just 262 yards through the air, instead relying on a rushing attack that accounted for 288 yards on the day.

For the Volunteers, there was no such lookahead issue, as they dismantled LSU on the road 40-13 in a game that was never competitive. Putting up 502 yards of total offense on the day, QB Henden Hooker improved on his SEC-best 179.5 passer rating, as he comes into this game with 1,432 yards and 10 touchdowns (zero interceptions).

In this one, I like for Alabama to look to slow down the game, focusing on the rushing attack and shutting down Hooker. All signs point towards an under.
