College Football Week 7 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Stanford vs. Notre Dame

The David Shaw era at Stanford could likely be over after this season, as they are now off to a 1-4 start with little in the way of signs pointing up. With an offense that has been average in every sense, the defense has been the real issue. Coming into this game, Stanford is allowing 207 yards per game on the ground on the way to 32.8, both amongst the worst in college football.

As for the Fighting Irish, first-year head coach Marcus Freeman has struggled to this point to find success in South Bend, as he's ground out a 3-2 start. There is plenty of reason for optimism, however, as he has now won three straight including quality wins over North Carolina and BYU.

In what is a rivalry matchup for the Legends Trophy, I like for Stanford to hang tough with a banged-up Notre Dame team likely without their starting corner Tariq Bracey.

Stanford +16.5
