College Football Week 7 Odds, Picks & Predictions: USC vs. Utah

A pivotal PAC-12 South matchup is on deck this weekend, as the #6 Trojans take on the #19 Utes in a game that will shape the trajectory of both teams' seasons. For the reigning PAC-12 champs, the Utes suffered their first major setback of the season last week in a 32-42 loss on the road at UCLA. In the game late, Utah was unable to overcome two key turnovers as QB Cam Rising had one of his worst games of the year.

As for the Trojans, Lincoln Riley's first year at the helm is going as well as expected (by some), as transfer QB Caleb Williams has this offense humming to the tune of 40.2 points per game. The defense, however, remains a major concern as USC is allowing 152.7 yards per game on the ground.

While Utah's defense is once again stout, I like for the USC offense to be the difference in this one and win a close game outright on the road in Salt Lake City.
