College Football Week 8 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Odds & Picks (2023)

It’s pretty crazy that we’re entering the final five or six weeks of College Football before we get into bowl season and the College Football Playoff. That said, it’s time we put our best college football prop bets together and start cashing as many bet slips as possible. Looking at Week 8, there are many intriguing games to bet on.

For starters, Penn State-Ohio State should produce some scoring, but I believe that it will be a lower-scoring game than some expect. If I were to bet on anyone scoring in that game, I’d go with Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Other games worth looking into are Ole Miss/Auburn, Utah/USC and TCU/Kansas State.

That said, here are my top College Football anytime touchdown scorers for this weekend. And below is a closer look at GAME.

Baylor Bears @ Cincinnati Bearcats

I’ll be honest; I have no idea why I have an interest in this football game. While it’s two bad football teams, I think there’s plenty to bet on in this game. For starters, I’m intrigued with the total in this game. Currently, Vegas has the over/under at 49.5, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the over hits in this game. Baylor’s defense is a shell of itself, as they’ve given up 181 total points so far this season (30.2 PPG). Meanwhile, they give up 389.8 total yards per game, and their 184.3 rushing yards allowed per game is one of the worst marks in the country.

Even though Baylor is coming off a bye week and could get right, I don’t think they’ll be able to stop the run against a Cincinnati offense that averages 202.7 rushing yards per game. Much of their success comes from their running back Corey Kiner and quarterback Emory Jones. With that, the player I want to focus on is Jones. His decision-making might limit some drives in this game, as he’s thrown eight interceptions this season, but his ability to run should be enough to lead his team to victory.

In every game Baylor has played this year, they’ve allowed a rushing touchdown to a quarterback. It’s pretty remarkable. With Jones being the best mobile quarterback they’ve faced so far this year, I expect him to find the end zone. He leads the Bearcats rushing attack with three rushing touchdowns this season, and he averages 14 carries per game. The game script and volume should lead to Jones getting touches near the end zone in this game. Take this plus money bet.

Bet: Cincinnati QB Emory Jones Over 0.5 Rushing Touchdowns (+135

Michigan Wolverines @ Michigan State Spartans

Sure, this is a rivalry game, but I don’t expect this game to be very close this year. Michigan State is just a bad football team still trying to figure out who’s playing quarterback. Earlier this year, they gave Noah Kim a shot, and he just doesn’t look the man for the job. This past week against Rutgers, the Spartans turned to Katin Houser. Don’t get me wrong, the redshirt freshman operated the offense much more efficiently than Kim ever did this season, but it’s not enough for me to buy into the Spartans in this rivalry game, especially after only passing for 133 yards and giving up the game to Rutgers while having an 18-point lead.

Michigan is one of the best, if not the best team in the country. Their offense has been rolling through teams this year while averaging 413.7 yards per game on offense. Their 182 rushing yards per game is one of the better units in College Football, and it’s led by their running back, Blake Corum. Through seven games this year, Corum already has 12 rushing touchdowns, and I’d expect him to have another big game against the Spartans.

In four of the Wolverines’ seven games played, Corum has multiple rushing touchdowns scored. It’s worth noting that Corum had 33 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown in this game last season. He could have had another rushing touchdown, but the Wolverines opted to pass from the two-yard line rather than run it in. Oddly enough, that pass was completed to Corum for a touchdown. Even though the Spartans have only given up five rushing touchdowns this season, I don’t see them finding ways to slow Corum down.

Bet: Michigan RB Blake Corum Over 1.5 Rushing Touchdowns (+165)
