College Football Week 8 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Washington vs. California

Throwing for 516 yards in the Huskies’ win over Arizona, Michael Penix Jr. broke the Washington single-game passing record in the process. In fact, Penix Jr. has surpassed 300 yards in every game he's played for the Huskies, who come into this game 5-2 with a road loss vs. Arizona State being their only real blemish thus far. With the #1 passing attack in the country, Washington also ranks in the top 10 in total offensive yards, points scored, and (lack of) offensive turnovers.

As for the Golden Bears, it's been a rocky start to the 2022 campaign, as Cal comes into this game having lost three of their past four. Their most recent defeat has been by the far the worst yet, losing 13-20 on the road at Colorado as 16-point favorites.

Now returning home, they draw a Washington team still very much in the mix for the PAC-12 North, who I expect a big performance from in this one.
