College Football Week 9 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Stanford vs. UCLA

UCLA's perfect season ended last week on the road at Oregon, losing 30-45 as 7-point underdogs. How they respond in this one, now, will tell the story for the rest of the season, as they welcome in a Stanford team that has now won two straight. The Bruins defense has a lot to clean up following last week's debacle, as they allowed Oregon QB Bo Nix to throw for five touchdowns on the day, as the Ducks'rushing attack added another 262 yards on the ground.

UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson also turned in one of his worst performances of the season, throwing for 262 yards and a TD: INT ratio of 2:1.

As for Stanford, calls for David Shaw's job have been temporarily halted, as the team has strung together consecutive wins for the first time this season. Allowing exactly 14 points in both, the Stanford defense has carried them with an offense that averaged just 15.5.

Look for UCLA to get right in this one, taking out last week's frustrations this week in the Rose Bowl.

UCLA -16.5
