Cowboys vs. 49ers NFL Divisional Round Picks & Predictions
No team is as hot as the San Francisco 49ers. Winners of eleven straight, the 9ers have supplanted the Eagles as the consensus favorites to win the NFC, as rookie QB Brock Purdy has continually impressed in his role. But let’s be real: Purdy is a hindrance, not an advantage. Last week vs. Seattle, ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ often missed open receivers, and struggled to throw into tight windows. His stat line was once again bolstered by his supporting cast, and he will not have the benefit of facing such a forgiving defense this week.
Conversely, Dallas had endured an uneven stretch heading into the postseason, but their wildcard victory in Tampa was emphatic. Any doubts circling the Cowboys’ offense should be discarded, as QB Dak Prescott submitted his best career performance vs the Bucs. Still, facing San Fran’s top-rated defense presents its own unique challenges– but the 9ers haven’t faced an offense of Dallas’ stature since Week 7 (a 44-23 loss to the Chiefs).
