Dallas Stars vs. Vegas Golden Knights: NHL Playoffs Same Game Parlay (Sunday)

The NHL has another thrilling Game 7 matchup on tap between the Dallas Stars vs. Vegas Golden Knights set for opening puck drop on Sunday night. It’s the final first-round series that has yet to be determined, following Boston’s 2-1 overtime win over Toronto at TD Garden on Saturday night, which saw us cash yesterday’s +170 SGP thanks to a scoreless first period and Toronto forcing overtime in a low-scoring contest.

Dallas and Vegas have traded blows all series. The first four games saw all road team wins before Dallas and Vegas each won on home ice to force Game 7 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas tonight. The Golden Knights have played well at this arena historically. Jack Eichel is coming off of his first game in this series without a point, despite Vegas winning 2-0 at home during Game 6 to stave off elimination.

Will the defending Stanley Cup champions advance and beat Dallas on the road for the third time in this series? Sunday's NHL SGP

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Leg 1: Jason Robertson To Record 1+ Points (-188)

After taking a night off from the total points market, we’re heading back here to start with Jason Robertson tallying at least one point in Game 7. Robertson is an integral piece of the Stars’ offense, leading the team in total points during the regular season. He’s also coming out of Game 6 without a point, since Dallas was shutout 2-0 on the road.

Robertson has scored a goal in four of Dallas’ last five home games, plus he’s recorded at least one point in four games during this series. At -188 odds, he’s the favorite to record one point, which I think he’ll do early in Game 7.

Leg 2: Jack Eichel To Record 1+ Points (-172)

Jack Eichel didn’t contribute on a scoring possession during Vegas’ 2-0 win in Game 6 but he’s been involved heavily throughout this series. At -172 odds, we’re getting less juice than usual on Eichel, who earns over 21 minutes average time on ice, while recording 19 shots on goal, which is the second-most behind only Jonathan Marchessault.

Eichel has recorded a point in five straight road games at American Airlines Center, which bodes well for us. Plus, he’s skating on the first-line attack and Vegas’ top powerplay unit, which affords him numerous opportunities to contribute on a scoring play for the Golden Knights. It’s a must-win game and Eichel will be all over the ice making plays, so this is a quality second leg to insert.

Leg 3: Under 7.5 Alternate Total Goals (-670)

One of our most consistent markets has been targeting the alternate total goals market and biting on the under. Adin Hill recorded his first shutout of the series in Game 6, stopping all 23 shots faced. We’re likely to see a bit more scoring in Game 7, but that doesn’t mean more than seven total goals will be scored.

We saw how Game 5 started, with each team scoring twice in the first period, before Dallas wound up winning 3-2 in regulation. This could be a similar outcome in Game 7, with both teams attempting to start off with momentum and an early lead. Jake Oettinger hasn’t allowed more than two goals since Game 1, while Hill has been a bit more vulnerable in the crease. Oddsmakers are favoring under 5.5 total goals, but just to be safe, we’re taking under 7.5 total goals in case of a late empty-net score or a 3-3 tie heading into overtime.

Leg 4: Vegas Golden Knights Puck Line +1.5 (-210)

Vegas’ puck line odds are enticing at -210 odds. The Golden Knights have covered the puck line nine in consecutive games played at American Airlines Center. This includes the underdog winning five of Vegas’ last six games played at this venue, with the exception coming during a 3-2 loss in Game 5.

The Golden Knights stole momentum with their two third-period goals in Game 6 at home. This will be big early on in Game 7, especially if Vegas can jump out to an early 1-0 lead. We’ve only seen the Stars win by two goals once in this series, which came on the road at T-Mobile Arena during a 4-2 victory in Game 4. At home, they tend to tighten up, which will allow Vegas to continue covering the puck line as underdogs.

Same Game Parlay: +339

We’ve managed to get this Same Game Parlay between Dallas and Vegas up to +339 odds using these four legs. Jack Eichel and Jason Robertson have been busy recording points in this series, but neither wound up in the stat sheet for a point in Game 6. This changes in Game 7, as both players tend to get a lot of touches in the offensive zone.

The unders have been hitting lately and we’re opting to go under 7.5 total goals instead of sticking with the 5.5 total goals line oddsmakers have set for Game 7. The Golden Knights’ success on the road against Dallas cannot be ignored here. Whether they win or lose, it’s going to be a close game, so we’re adding Vegas +1.5 at -210 odds to boost us to +339 odds for Sunday’s Game 7 SGP.
