Dallas Stars vs. Vegas Golden Knights: NHL Playoffs Same Game Parlay (Wednesday)

The Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights have provided arguably the best series during the first round of the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tonight, Game 5 is set for a prime-time puck drop at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Neither of these teams has won on home ice entering Game 5, so there’s some good value in betting on Vegas as moneyline underdogs. After going up 2-0 on the road at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, the Golden Knights couldn’t hold on during overtime against the Stars in Game 3. Vegas was subsequently shut out in the third period of Game 4. Game 5 is pivotal for both teams to regain the lead in this series, but currently, all momentum is on Dallas following their two road wins at T-Mobile Arena.

As we do every day during the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, I’ve found a great Same Game Parlay to construct ahead of Game 5 between the Dallas Stars vs. Vegas Golden Knights. Follow me @Matt_MacKay_ on X for more free plays, NHL Prop Bets, and NHL best bets during the week.

Wednesday's NHL SGP

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Leg 1: Jack Eichel To Record 1+ Points (-170)

Jack Eichel has recorded the most points for either team in this series through four games. Eichel’s six points have been recorded in all four matchups, which includes three goals as well. He’s averaging over 21 minutes of time on the ice and skates on Vegas’ first-line attack and top powerplay unit, so expect Eichel to continue producing in the offensive zone on Wednesday night.

Leg 2: Miro Heiskanen To Record 1+ Points (-170)

Miro Heiskanen is one of the most talented defensemen in this series, contributing four total points for Dallas entering Game 5. Heiskanen’s first game without a point came in Game 4, so expect the Stars’ first-line defenseman to be active early against Vegas in the offensive zone. He’s earned over 28 minutes of ice time in this series, so there’s no need to worry about his opportunities setting up scoring possessions for Dallas.

Leg 3: Vegas Golden Knights +1.5 (-200)

Vegas’ 2-0 record at American Airlines Center should make them feel comfortable during Game 5 despite playing in a hostile road environment. The underdogs have covered the puck line in each of the Golden Knights’ last 11 games at this venue, including five outright wins. Vegas has won five consecutive matchups against the Stars on the road, so here, we’re being a bit conservative and opting for their puck line odds at -200.

Leg 4: Under 9.5 Total Goals (-3000)

To boost our Same Game Parlay to +301 odds, we’re inserting under 9.5 total goals as the fourth and final leg. Seven of Dallas’ last eight home games have gone under the total goal line, which is set to 5.5. There hasn’t been more than seven total goals scored in the entire series, so even if Vegas winds up losing 5-4 or winning 6-3, we’re still in the clear by taking this heavily juiced goal total under.

Same Game Parlay: +301

This should be a really fun game to watch but we’re making it even more enjoyable with a +301 SGP to wager ahead of the opening puck drop. We’re relying on two players to record at least one point, Jack Eichel and Miro Heiskanen, who both lead their respective team in total points in this series. Then, we’re investing in Vegas’ +1.5 puck line at -200 odds, considering they’ve won five in a row at American Airlines Center. Finally, we’re inserting under 9.5 total goals to be scored at -3000 odds to get 3-1 odds on our Same Game Parlay, since none of these head-to-head matchups have yielded more than seven total goals this season.
