Elena Rybakina 2023 Wimbledon Best Bets: Odds, Picks & Predictions

Since Serena Williams won back-to-back Wimbledon titles in 2015 and 2016, the sixth and seventh such titles of her career, the Women’s side at the All England Lawn Tennis Club has been wide open. Garbine Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Ashleigh Barty, and Elena Rybakina have made it five different first-time winners in the last five years at Wimbledon, and none of those champions have even reached a final in any other year in that span. In fact, over the previous three Wimbledons, six different women have reached the final. World No. 1 Iga Swiatek and No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka have won the first two Grand Slams of the season. Will either of them make it six consecutive years with a first-time Wimbledon winner? Or can someone else ranked fourth or lower on the odds leaderboard (at +1300 odds or lower) make a nice payday for futures bettors?

2023 Wimbledon Best Bets & Picks: Elena Rybakina

Here is our betting outlook for 2023 Wimbledon.

2023 Wimbledon Betting Predictions

Elena Rybakina was the ranked No. 23 in the world and had never advanced past the quarterfinals at a Grand Slam before winning Wimbledon last year. Not many are banking on Rybakina being the first repeat women’s Wimbledon champion since Serena Williams, as she is not in the top three in ticket percentage or handle percentage at BetMGM. Rybakina’s draw is littered with landmines, as she was placed in the same quarter as last year’s runner-up Ons Jabeur, two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, and other Grand Slam winners like Jelena Ostapenko (2017 French Open) and Bianca Andreescu (2019 US Open). Rybakina is 31-8 this year (the third-best winning percentage on the WTA tour), but has lost in the Round of 16 and Round of 32 in her last two tournaments.

2023 Wimbledon Betting Advice & Picks

Rybakina was done no favors as defending champion by being placed in what many are labeling the “quarter of death.” Thus, a fourth-round loss to two-time champion Petra Kvitova is more likely than a repeat run to the semifinals or beyond.
