Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls
I didn’t expect either of these teams to be below .500 this early in the season. Hopefully, both of these teams can get it together before the playoffs. Otherwise, both fan bases will be disappointed. The good news for both teams is they have plenty of scoring power to win plenty of games.
They might not have many wins, but the Brooklyn Nets have some of the best scorers in the NBA. Between Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, Brooklyn has enough scoring consistency to give the first-basket bet value. Kevin Durant is always involved in this offense early on, and I expect that to continue tonight against the Bulls. That makes Durant the most like to score first in this matchup.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Orlando Magic
Orlando has the athletic advantage with this tip-off tonight. The Thunder are tall, but Aleksej Pokusevski has been losing the tip-off to undersized, more athletic centers. That will give Bol-Bol an advantage tonight since he is taller and more athletic than Pokusevski.
Wendall Carter Jr. has been the most consistent shooter early in Orlando’s offense. He has taken the shot for the Magic in the last three games. There is no reason for the Magic to change their formula tonight against the Thunder. The Magic have a couple of injuries in their starting lineup and rely on Carter and Banchero to get the offense going early.
First Basket: Wendell Carter Jr. (+470 at FanDuel)
Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves have the advantage of getting the ball first in this matchup. They have two big men with KAT and Gobert. They have two athletic centers, and even going up against Ayton, they should be able to get the first possession.
Anthony Edwards is averaging close to twenty shots per game and is the besting scorer for the Timberwolves. He is also the best scorer in Minnesota. With the number of shot attempts he is shooting per game and his scoring ability, Edwards is the most likely to get the first shot in this game. Expect Minnesota to try and get Edwards going early in this game against the Suns.
