Friday Beers knocked off Athletics Miami, 84-72, in the opening round of The Basketball Tournament. They were led by Aubrey Dawkins, Dee Bost, and Julian Gamble, who all played over 25 minutes in the win. Friday Beers doesn't have much depth and will rely heavily on Gabe York, Coty Clarke, and the other three mentioned. Still, Gamble and Clarke were terrific on the glass, earning 21 rebounds combined. They'll take on Men of Mackey, who added a first-round win against Team Colorado, 70-68. Nobody stood out in the Men of Mackey win. They've got more players playing, but those players aren't x-factors. Isaiah Wilkerson had 14 points in 21.8 minutes of action to lead the team. But I'll stick with Friday Beers to escape with a win in this game.
