MLB Best Bets

Los Angeles Dodgers at Philadelphia Phillies

Since returning from the injured list, Ranger Suarez has struggled if we look strictly at the surface stats. However, his underlying numbers paint him to be the exact same pitcher he has been for the last two seasons. That is a very solid starter on paper. Yet, today he is tasked with trying to contain this Dodgers’ offense which is one of the league’s best. The Dodgers have a 119 wRC+ against left-handed pitchers this season, fifth in the league. They should have no issues scoring in this one against the Phillies. Michael Grove gets the ball for the Dodgers, and his surface numbers are hiding a really interesting pitcher. Grove has allowed too many home runs, but there’s a nice strikeout arm in there who could be elite if he was able to control the long ball. The Phillies’ offense has been struggling, so I think this is a great bet for Grove and the Dodgers.

Chris Taylor has been excellent against left-handed pitching in 2023 with a wRC+ of 152. For a guy who hits for a ton of power against lefties, these odds are much better than I would have expected. This is a great bet to pair with this game.

Combined Odds: +475

NBA Best Bets

Denver Nuggets at Miami Heat

This game is a bounce-back game for Jimmy Butler. He has proven throughout the playoffs that he plays better in critical games. Tonight the Miami Heat are down in the series and need to win. The Heat have been underdogs the entire playoffs. Jimmy Butler has embraced that underdog mentality.

Nikola Jokic is possibly the best center in the NBA. That has shown throughout the playoffs. Jokic had twenty rebounds last game, and that can happen again tonight. Until the Miami Heat prove they can start getting more rebounding than the Nuggets, there is betting value on Jokic getting rebounds.

This leg might be the riskiest play of this entire parlay. That is Jamal Murray Over 3.5 three-pointers. He has struggled to make three against the Heat all season. I think the Heat will attempt to slow down Jokic. That will create more opportunities for Jamal Murray to make shots.

Parlay Odds: +583
