Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens

Last week, the Texans pulled off the upset victory over the Cleveland Browns, blowing out the Joe Flacco-led team by 31 points. C.J. Stroud was outstanding in that contest but got plenty of help from his receiving core, especially Nico Collins. The former Michigan star had six receptions for 96 receiving yards and the first Houston touchdown in the game (which I correctly predicted). Collins also scored the first Texans offensive touchdown in 31.3% of the games during the regular season, including two of the final three.

These two teams met in Week 1, with the Ravens getting the 25-9 victory. While Houston didn't have a touchdown in the contest, Stroud showed signs of being an elite quarterback. More importantly, Collins led the team in receptions (six), targets (11) and receiving yards (80). He also had the team's first touchdown of the year the following week.

Meanwhile, the first touchdown scored against Baltimore was by a wide receiver in three of their final five regular season games.

Bet: Nico Collins Texans First TD Scorer (+340)

NBA Best Bets

Denver Nuggets @ Boston Celtics

This is clearly the matchup of the night, as this NBA Finals rematch could also be a possible NBA Finals preview.

It's hard to argue that the Celtics are not the best team in the league. They lead the league in Adjusted Net Rating and Adjusted Offensive Rating. The Cs are also second in Adjusted Defensive Rating. They are at full strength for this one, as Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White are expected to play after missing the last game against the Spurs.

The Nuggets aren't the top team in their conference or even division, but that's because they have dealt with injuries, including to key players like Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. The offense is so potent when they are all on the court, especially with Nikola Jokic playing at an MVP-caliber level once again.

The important stat is that Denver leads the league with 54.8 points per game in the paint. We'll have to see if Porzingis is 100%, but Jokic will have a large impact either way. Boston could get their 21st straight win at home, but Denver keeps it close.

Pick: Nuggets +6 (-112)

UNLV @ Colorado State

Colorado State has averaged an uncharacteristically low 67.5 points per game in regulation of its four Mountain West games thus far (the Rams' 78-point output against Air Force was skewed by the overtime period).

Still, if there is any offense we are unconcerned about fixing itself, it is Niko Medved's five-out offense. The Rams still ranks 19th nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency, a metric they have been ranked inside the top 60 in for three of the previous four years under Medved. Boise State held Colorado State to a season-low 58 points two games ago, but the Rams attempted just 10 free throws and shot 25% (4-of-16) from 3-point range. Few teams have the positional size at the guard and wing positions as the Broncos do. Therefore, we expect the Rams to get back on track offensively at home, led by point guard Isaiah Stevens, who ranks sixth nationally in assist rate.

This is a tough situational spot for UNLV, who is coming off a grueling one-point home loss to Utah State and a resounding bounce-back four-point road win at Boise State within the last week. That should make for some tired legs in the altitude of Colorado. This could compromise a defense that is the worst rebounding team in the league and also ranks seventh in conference play in adjusted defensive efficiency and 3-point percentage allowed.

The Over is a profitable 9-5 in UNLV's 14 games this season, including cashing at an 83.3% clip (5-1) following a win.

Bet: Over 145 (-105)
