New York Giants First TD Scorer: Saquon Barkley (RB – NYG) (+210)

Barkley is the focal point of the Giants’ offense. The superstar running back leads the team with eight touchdowns. Furthermore, he has accounted for 27.6% of the team’s offensive touchdowns this season. More importantly, the former Penn State star has scored the first New York touchdown in 38.5% of the games this year, and two of the past three games, including against the Commanders two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Washington’s first touchdown surrendered has gone to a running back in nearly 40% of the games this season. They have also given up six receiving touchdowns to running backs this season, the most in the NFL.

Washington Commanders First TD Scorer: Antonio Gibson (RB – WAS) (+450)

I’ll be honest and say I don’t feel overly confident in either Washington pick for this game. Two weeks ago, Terry McLaurin scored the first Commanders touchdown of the game against the Giants. Yet, he has only three touchdowns this season. However, nearly half of the team’s first scores of the game have been by a running back. Four of those touchdowns have been by Gibson. The third-year running back has five touchdowns this season, tied for the team lead. Meanwhile, New York has surrendered eight rushing touchdowns to running backs over the past four weeks, the most in the NFL during that span. Last week, they gave up four rushing touchdowns, including the first score of the game to Miles Sanders.

Anytime TD Scorer: Isaiah Hodgins (WR – NYG) (+320)

With Sterling Shepard and Wan’Dale Robinson out for the year, the New York receiving core has been an inconsistent group. Kenny Golladay is the big-name player in the wide receiver room. Yet he has only four receptions this season, one fewer than third-string tight end Lawrence Cager. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Barkley leads the team in receptions this year. However, Hodgins has played well lately. Over the past two weeks, the Oregon State receiver has nine receptions on 12 targets and a pair of touchdowns. He led the team in targets during that span while scoring in both contests, including the only New York receiving touchdown two weeks ago against the Commanders.

Anytime TD Scorer: Jahan Dotson (WR – WAS) (+215)

While McLaurin is the star of Washington’s wide receiver core, Dotson leads the team with five receiving touchdowns. The rookie started the year on fire, totaling three touchdowns on his first seven receptions. Unfortunately, he missed four weeks with a hamstring injury. Since his return, Dotson has struggled, totaling only four targets in the first three games back from the injury. However, the former Penn State star had nine targets two weeks ago against the Giants, the second-most on the team. More importantly, he caught the game-tying 28-yard touchdown with under two minutes left in the contest.
