Grizzlies vs. Nuggets: NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions (Tuesday)

We’ve only got a five-game slate tonight in the NBA. However, two of those five games will be held on national television, like every Tuesday.

TNT will have their weekly doubleheader. The first game will feature the red-hot New York Knicks against the Golden State Warriors. The second game will be the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Denver Nuggets. Those are two of the best West Coast teams in the NBA.

We should get two entertaining games. Here’s a look at Grizzlies vs. Nuggets.

Top NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Grizzlies vs. Nuggets

Although the Nuggets are 18-11 on the season, Denver hasn’t played great defense. They’ll already be without Michael Porter Jr. tonight.

The Nuggets are dominant on the defensive glass but have allowed 116.3 points per 100 possessions while giving up an effective field goal percentage of 56.7%.

On the other hand, the Grizzlies score 115.8 points per 100 possessions, but that’s mainly due to their ability to limit turnovers and earn a very high rate of offensive rebounds. Against the Nuggets, the Grizzlies won’t get nearly as many offensive rebounds and second chances. The Nuggets have held teams to 24.3% offensive rebounds this season.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have held teams to 109.5 points per 100 possessions and have limited teams to a 52.1% effective field goal percentage. Memphis’ defense is above-average in all categories defensively other than turnover rate. The Grizzlies only earn 14.3% of turnovers, which is 20th in the league. Still, the Nuggets turned the ball over 15.1% of the time, so the Grizzlies can still get their fair share of turnovers.

Denver is used to getting quality looks from the floor. They’ve scored 117.7 points per 100 possessions while shooting a 58.1% effective field goal percentage. However, the Grizzlies are still one of the best defenses in the league and should at least hold the Nuggets from getting the best of looks. Plus, Denver isn’t dominant on the offensive glass.

Although we’ve got two of the best offenses competing against one another, I’ll still take the Under. Memphis should limit quality looks for Denver, and the Grizzlies won’t earn nearly as many second chances against the Nuggets.

Bet: Under 233  (-110)
