March Madness Round of 32 Same Game Parlay Bets
Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
(1) Houston vs. (8) Auburn
Leg 1 - Houston -5.5 (-115)
The Houston Cougars got some good news. Marcus Sasser is expected to start and play his full minutes for the Houston Cougars tonight.
Sasser leads the team with 16.7 points per game and is one of the stars in college basketball.
His offense is supreme. But Houstonâs defense is even better. The Cougars have held teams to 27.3% from deep and 43% from inside the arc. At times, the Cougars will foul at a high rate and could end up giving up some offensive rebounds to Auburn. But overall, the Tigers are going to struggle from the field and really get dominated the offensive glass on the other side of the ball.
Auburnâs defense is still good enough to hold Auburn. But the reality is that Houston has way more athletes and scorers that can make plays in this game.
Iâve got Houston earning a double-digit win over Auburn in the Round of 32.
Leg 2 - Under 132.5 (-110)
Again, I talked about Houstonâs defense. Auburn shoots just 31.5% from downtown and 51% from inside the arc. The Tigers have also hit just 70.5% from the foul line, which is below average. Auburn will spend some time at the foul line and could earn a couple of additional second chances on the glass. But overall, the Tigers are going to struggle from the field.
Then, Houston will milk the clock on their end. Auburnâs still held teams to 28.7% from three and 47% from inside the arc. Houston wonât have the easiest looks. And who knows if Marcus Sasser is 100%. Therefore, Iâm riding the Under 132.5.
Leg 3 - Johni Broome Under 13.5 Points (-128)
Broome has averaged 14.2 points per game this season. Heâs also shooting 52.8% from the field. But he also hasnât faced a defense like Houston.
The Cougars are one of the best defenses inside the arc, holding teams to 43% on twos. Broome doesnât even have the highest offensive rating on Auburn and will be slowed down on the offensive glass. He might get a couple of boards on the offensive glass, but not enough to help him keep pace with 14 or more points in this game.
Houston likes to keep the clock moving and prides itself defensively. Broome will struggle and will likely only take about ten shots in this game. Heâs also not the best foul shooter either.
Take his Under to finish the parlay.
