She was forced to withdraw from her last event at Homburg with a fever and symptoms stemming from food poisoning, the first time she ever withdrew from a WTA match. However, leading up to that match, Swiatek was an incredible 105-15 (87.5%) since the start of last season, and she recently passed Simona Halep as the active player who has spent the most weeks ranked No. 1 (65).
