Islanders vs. Senators

  • Leg 1: Islander ML (+100)
  • Leg 2: OVER 6.5 Total Goals (+110)
  • Leg 3: OVER 2.5 Islanders Total Goals (-160)

The Islanders are coming very close to what would be a collapse. They're coming in losers of five straight, and are 2-7-3 since the start of the new year.

The forward unit looked great to start the season but has fizzled of late, scoring just three or more goals in two of the 12 games, but now Ilya Sorokin has lost four straight and allowed 16 goals in that time.

Sorokin usually plays with at least one day of rest, but Lane Lambert might put Semyon Varlamov in the lineup.

The Senators overall have underachieved this season. There is some talent on the forward unit with Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle, but this offense has stretches where they can't score, and that's why they're 29th in Goals Percentage.

The biggest surprise comes from goaltending. Cam Talbot and Anton Forsberg are both playing well below their potential, but part of it stems from the bottom ten defense in Shots on Goal and High Danger Shots Allowed.

Even with both offenses not playing well, I like them better than their opponent’s defense. The Islanders are the superior lineup and will come away with a win.
