March Madness First Round Same Game Parlay Bets
Kentucky vs. Providence
Leg 1 - Bryce Hopkins Over 13.5 Points (-150)
In the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the East Region in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Friday night, Bryce Hopkins will have the chance to exact the best possible retribution when he leads the 11th-seeded Friars against the sixth-seeded Wildcats.
In his first year with the Friars, Hopkins is averaging 16.1 points and 8.5 rebounds, earning first-team All-Big East recognition (21-11). He averaged only 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 28 games as a rookie at Kentucky last season, which was unproductive. He only contributed 6.5 minutes per game.
Against his former teammates and especially Coach Cal, I like for Hopkins to show out and eclipse this number with relative ease.
Leg 2 - Oscar Tshiebwe â Over 11.5 (-165)
As Hopkins himself noted, Oscar Tshiebwe, a big man who won national player of the year accolades last season and is averaging 16.5 points and 13.1 rebounds this season, is the biggest difficulty facing the Friars in this matchup. As it stands right now, thereâs no one in the Providence starting five that can match up with him down low, and I largely expect him to have his way on the boards.
Leg 3 - Dashawn Davis 1+ Threes Made
In its last five games, Providence has lost four, suffering losses of 18 and 24 points. The Friars last year advanced to the Sweet 16 but fell to eventual national champion Kansas.
The second-seeded Wildcats were defeated by the No. 15 seed Saint Peterâs last year, which went on to make one of the most thrilling long-shot runs in NCAA Tournament history to advance to the Final Eight.
This season wasnât the easiest for the Wildcats, as they dealt with injury and went 16-9 after suffering a road loss to Georgia on February 11th by a score of 75-68 before winning five of its subsequent seven games. Guard Sahvir Wheeler (ankle and tailbone issues) is expected to play on Friday, according to Calipari, in what will be his first appearance in nine games.
I expect him to be the difference.
