NBA First Basket Scorer Odds, Picks & Predictions: Lakers vs. Nuggets
To round out todayâs plays, Iâm fading any Denver first basket-getters and going for value again. Despite the Nuggetsâ 55 percent first-basket conversion percentage, Nikola Jokic only wins the opening tip at a 43 percent clip, compared to Bryantâs 62 percent.
Denver has allowed opponentâs centers to score the first basket over a quarter of the time as well, more than any other position. Early on, I can easily see the Lakers going down low, something they have done about 22 percent of the time when scoring the first basket this season.
