Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals Odds & Game Pick (2022)

The Raiders and Bengals will officially get the party started Saturday afternoon in Cinci, as both teams come into this one looking to end long playoff win draughts. For the home Bengals, it’s been 30 years since they’ve won, losing eight straight.

Can the Raiders continue the four-game win streak they ended the season with and pick up a massive victory on the road?

Let’s take a closer look.

Overview

Finishing the regular season with the 6th ranked passing attack in the league, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr’s 4,804 yards (franchise record) and 23 touchdowns shut down many who speculated the game had passed him by. Even with the tumultuous middle part of the season that saw head coach Jon Gruden step down in shame and wide receiver Henry Ruggs III kill someone in a drunk driving incident, Carr guided this team to the #5 seed in the AFC.

On the other side of this matchup is another record-setting quarterback, as second-year starter Joe Burrow put up a franchise record of 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns, turning into his division’s best quarterback as the season progressed. Complemented by running back Joe Mixon’s 4,205 yards, this Bengals offense averaged 37.5 points over its final two meaningful games of the season and will look to carry that momentum in this one.

Trends

  • Raiders 4-1 ATS in L5 in the role of underdog
  • Raiders 4-1 in L5 following a win
  • Under 4-0 in Bengals L4 playoff games

Bottom Line

While there was an outside chance the Raiders would get stud linebacker Nicholas Morrow back for this one, it doesn’t appear to be the case as the week progresses. They’ll also be without defensive tackle Darius Philon (knee) and potentially another DT in Johnathan Haskins (back, knee).

Facing an offensive attack led by Burrow and his ace Ja’Marr Chase, who accounted for 391 yards and three touchdowns the last two games they were on the field with each other, the Raiders need all the help they can get.

In front of what should be a raucous crowd in Cinci, I like for the Bengals to pull away late in this one.

Pick: Bengals -5
