Maple Leafs vs. Bruins: NHL Playoffs Same Game Parlay Picks (Wednesday)

Tuesday’s three-game slate in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs starts with a marquee matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. After tying the series 1-1 on the road at TD Garden, the Maple Leafs are carrying momentum back home to Scotiabank Arena in front of their home fans.

Linus Ullmark surrendered three goals after Boston held the lead twice in Game 2, with the Bruins unable to score after their two first-period goals. It’s yet to be confirmed, but as a result, all signs point toward Jeremy Swayman returning into the crease to attempt to go 5-0 against Toronto as the starting netminder this season.

I’ve found a great Same Game Parlay to put together for Wednesday night’s highly-touted Game 3 matchup between the Maple Leafs and Bruins. Make sure to follow me @Matt_MacKay_ on X to get more free plays, NHL Prop Bets, and NHL best bets during the week.

Wednesday's NHL SGP

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Leg 1: Boston Bruins Moneyline (-106)

Boston blowing multiple leads to Toronto should result in the Bruins being extra motivated to gain an edge in the series on the road during Game 3. Boston has won each of its last seven games against Toronto following a loss, while the Maple Leafs have also failed to cover the puck line as home favorites in each of their last 14 home games against Atlantic Division opponents. Getting the Bruins at longer odds than the Maple Leafs is a great value to acquire, so we’re using Boston’s moneyline odds as the first leg of our SGP.

Leg 2: Under 7.5 Total Goals (-400)

Next, we’re diving into the alternate total goals betting market. Each of Toronto’s last five night games against Boston after a road win have gone under the total goals line. In fact, none of the previous six head-to-head matchups between these opponents have surpassed seven total goals. Assuming Swayman returns to the net following Ullmark’s pedestrian outing in Game 2, we shouldn’t come anywhere close to eight total goals being scored by the end of Game 3.

Leg 3: Brad Marchand Over 0.5 Point (-156)

Finally, we’re heading into the player prop market and targeting Bruins’ veteran winger Brad Marchand to record at least one point on Wednesday night. Marchand has one or more points with Boston as an underdog against Toronto in eight straight games, plus he’s also recorded a point in both playoff games thus far. Marchand scored at least one goal or an assist in all three regular season games against the Maple Leafs as well, so he’s extremely reliable as the final leg of our SGP to record over half a point at -156 odds.

Same Game Parlay Odds: +202

The addition of Marchand to score at least one point as the third leg of this Same Game Parlay for Toronto vs. Boston gets us over+200 odds. We’re riding with Boston in a bounce-back effort against Toronto on Wednesday night, although these bets are predicated on Jeremy Swayman returning to the crease, which has not yet been confirmed. Assuming he’s back, then the total goals line is also safe at under 7.5, which is the shortest leg of this three-leg SGP. We’ve been losing only one leg for every single SGP to start Round 1, but this is where we finally come through with a solid 2-1 SGP win during the Bruins’ road win over the Maple Leafs to take the series lead back at 2-1.
