Masters 2022: Collin Morikawa Betting Odds, Preview & Prediction
It might not feel like spring in some parts of the country, but the azaleas are in full bloom at Augusta National, home of The Masters, the most iconic tournament in golf.
In just a few days, we'll get to see Amen Corner, Rae's Creek, the Sarazen Bridge, and Augusta's other famous features while watching golf's biggest stars navigate challenging approach shots and treacherous greens. As if the golf isn't entertaining enough, The Masters presents us with a betting menu the size of a Cheesecake Factory menu.
Welcome to the first annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We will drill down on the myriad wagering opportunities this tournament presents to us. We'll look at the golfers with the best chances of earning a coveted Green Jacket. We'll examine which bets look like sucker plays and which bets provide better value than a $1.50 pimento cheese sandwich at an Augusta concessions tent.
Should you back a top player like Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, or Collin Morikawa? Is it better to play a hot hand with Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Smith, or Sam Burns? Or would it be best to ride with an Augusta specialist like Jordan Spieth, Patrick Reed, or Justin Rose?
We have some thoughts. Read on, friends.

Collin Morikawa Course History
Collin Morikawa only turned pro in 2019, so heâs been so limited competing at Augusta National. The 25-year old American dramatically improved from his first year at The Masters, going from 44th during his debut in 2020 up to 18th in 2021. Morikawaâs ability to convert greens in regulation at 72 percent will be a considerable asset to possess during his third trip to The Masters. Morikawa has some of the best irons on the PGA Tour, which plays right into his ability to hit greens in regulation and navigate around obstacles on the fairway and surrounding the bentgrass greens.

Collin Morikawa Recent Form
Since late February, Morikawa has looked like a shell of himself since heâs missed a cut at The Players Championship and plummeted to a T68 finish at Valspar. He has two second-place finishes and five inside the top ten, so Morikawa certainly has had a lot of success during the 2022 PGA season. However, all of his top ten finishes occurred in the Fall, and heâs losing momentum at the worst possible time. Fortunately, he leaped up the leaderboard last season at Augusta with a strong final round on Sunday after going four-over in the third round. Morikawa is battle-tested and is still new to The Masters, so he possesses many possible outcomes.
Collin Morikawa Masters Predictions
The Pick: Fade Collin Morikawa to Win (+2000 on Caesars)
Morikawa may wind up drawing a top-ten finish at Augusta. However, it wonât be near a first-place finish. Morikawa has not hoisted any hardware since winning at The Open Championship last July. He began the season red-hot but has underperformed at various events in Florida. The PGAâs most prestigious event adds an extra layer of pressure, so players who have been playing poorly as of late will be challenged to generate any momentum or confidence. Morikawa certainly has the skillset to make a run at winning his first Masters but it will have to wait another year.
Fade him as a winner but feel free to use Morikawa in DFS lineups, as the 25-year-old American should still deliver plenty of birdies during his third stint at Augusta National.
