Seattle Mariners (+104) at New York Yankees (-122) | O/U 8 (-102/-120)

The Yankees can get a much-needed sweep against the Mariners tonight. The lineup is still struggling without Aaron Judge, but they’ve been getting enough done in this series behind some great pitching. Let’s see what they get from Domingo German tonight. He’s coming off a dreadful start allowing seven earned runs in two innings against the Red Sox, and his start in Seattle wasn’t great allowing four earned runs.

Seattle is continuing to lose ground in AL West, and they’ve won back-to-back games just once since May 29th. The offense that excelled last season has struggled in 2023, as they’re 29th in batting average and 27th in strikeouts. Rookie Bryan Woo has steadily improved since his debut, where he allowed six earned runs and has allowed just four total runs in his last two starts.

While German has had some awful starts this season, he’s been great at home with a 2.92 ERA and over nine strikeouts per nine. The Yanks will push through with another win.

Pick: Yankees Moneyline (-122)

San Diego Padres (-116) at San Francisco Giants (-102) | O/U 8.5 (-118/-104)

The Giants are on an impressive ten-game winning streak, but it is not the best in the league, thanks to Cincinnati. This has allowed them to climb to the top of the National West. Alex Wood came back strong in his first outing off the IL, going five scoreless against the Dodgers.

The Padres continue to be one of the more disappointing teams this season. With the third-highest payroll, they sit under .500 with the fifth-worst batting average in the league. It’s been a solid season for Blake Snell with the 3.48 ERA and 1.29 WHIP, but with just 3.15 runs of support per game, he sees a lot of starts go to waste.

Wood has an exceptional history against the Padres, which will help extend the Giants’ winning streak.

Pick: Giants Moneyline (-102)

Pittsburgh Pirates (+108) at Miami Marlins (-126) | O/U 7.5 (-108/-112)

It’s been a hot June in South Beach, as the Marlins are 13-5 this month. They’re getting contributions from the pitching and the offense as they have a +30 scoring differential this month. Braxton Garrett is on a great stretch, with Miami being 6-2 in his last eight starts and carrying a 2.70 ERA over that stretch.

The Pirates cannot stop this free fall —they are 14-30 since April 30th and have dropped from first in the division to fourth. The drop in offense is certainly a catalyst, as they went from scoring 5.5 runs in their first 19 games to 3.3 since. Mitch Keller’s breakthrough season has hit a rough patch, and he has a 6.26 ERA in his last four starts.

You have to go with the better-trending Marlins that have a pitcher that’s been helping them win recently.

Pick: Marlins Moneyline (-126)
