Tuesday's Best MLB Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Dodgers (-218) at Cleveland Guardians (+180) | O/U 9 (-110/-110)

We have the revenge game factor for Noah Syndergaard. He will face off against the Dodgers for the first time since being waived by the team earlier this year. He did not have much success with Los Angeles, and it's the same in Cleveland, as he's 1-2 with a 5.06 ERA in four starts.

Bobby Miller was essentially the pitcher who replaced Syndergaard in the rotation, and the rookie has excelled. He has a fastball that can reach triple digits. He also mixes in the sinker, changeup and curveball, causing hitters to have trouble getting good contact, with only a 6.9 barrel contact percentage.

The Dodgers should have no problem grabbing a victory tonight.

Pick: Dodgers -1.5 (-130)

Washington Nationals (+154) at Cleveland Guardians (-185) | O/U 8.5 (-118/-102)

Carlos Rodon will get his first start after his second IL stint of the season. Even when on the mound, the Yankees' notable offseason acquisition hasn't panned out, with a 7.33 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP in six starts. This matchup does not look good for him tonight as the Nationals are the fourth in average and eighth in OPS against left-handed pitching.

While the record doesn't reflect, this is Josiah Gray's best season. He's already matched his season-high win total, and this should be the first time he finishes with a sub-4.00 ERA. He is, unfortunately, in his worst stretch at the moment, with an 11.12 ERA in his last three starts.

The Yankees are correctly favored at home in this game. Unfortunately, at this point, you can trust them to pull off the win. I love the value of the over in this game.

Pick: Over 8.5 (-118)

Miami Marlins (+150) at San Diego Padres (-180) | O/U 7.5 (-115/-105)

There hasn't been a starting pitcher better than Blake Snell in the second half of the season. Since May 31 (min. 10 starts), he leads the league with a 1.26 ERA, and opponents are batting just .162. This catalyst of success began against the Marlins when he went six scoreless innings.

Jesus Luzardo has been searching for consistency all season. When he's on, he features a sharp fastball and a vicious slider with a 50% whiff rate. However, he's seen a decline in his movement, and he's lost his last three starts and has an 11.68 ERA.

Pick: Padres -1.5 (+120)
