The weather is getting warmer, and we’re fully into the MLB season. Let’s look at interesting matchups for tonight.

Today’s Best MLB Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Baltimore Orioles (+154) at New York Yankees (-184) | O/U 7.5 (-114/-106)

The Yankees are starting to play much better and have won 11 of their last 14. The offense has surged after being stagnant before, and they’ve scored 5.6 runs during this 14-game stretch as opposed to 3.4 when they went 5-9 in the previous 14. Gerrit Cole is looking to be a Cy Young contender again and is currently leading all American League pitchers with a 2.8 WAR and is second in ERA.

There’s no slowing down the Orioles, as the playoff drought could be over. They have just three series losses this year. The offense has a mix of power and patience, with the eighth-best walk percentage and ninth in extra base hit percentage. We are seeing a drastic improvement in Kyle Bradish’s sophomore season with a full run lower ERA, and he is coming in, allowing just one earned run in his last 12 innings.

Cole went 1-2 against the O’s last year and allowed nine earned in the previous two outings, and the Yankees lineup is hitting .280 with a .440 slugging. This run total is set lower than it should be.

Pick: Over 7.5 (-114)

Los Angeles Dodgers (+168) at Atlanta Braves (-200) | O/U 8.5 (-102/-120)

The Braves are on top of the National League East earlier than usual this year, and maybe they won’t need the second-half comeback like the previous two seasons. They are getting it done with power hitting as they lead the league in barrel percentage, hard-hit percentage, and expected slugging. They also have some incredible pitching, most notably Spencer Strider. In just his second full season, he’s easily a Cy Young front-runner as he leads the NL in strikeouts per nine, an expected batting average, and expected slugging.

The Dodgers, unfortunately, lost three of four against St. Louis but regrouped and took the first game in this series. Bobby Miller is one of the LAD’s top prospects as he makes his MLB debut. He hasn’t faired well this year and is 1-1 with a 5.65 ERA in Triple-A this season.

He gets the tough assignment of facing this dangerous lineup, and he’ll have a rough welcome to the show.

Pick: Braves -1.5 (-105)

San Francisco Giants (+124) at Minnesota Twins (-146) | O/U 7.5 (-120/-102)

The Twins are in first place in the AL Central, but at 25-23, they do not have a stronghold on that lead. The pitching staff is the catalyst for this team, and they’re leading in strikeout percentage and second in opponent batting average. Sonny Gray has led that pitching staff with an AL-leading 1.64 ERA and is second amongst pitchers with a 2.4 WAR.

The Giants are coming in playing well, winning six of their last seven, and are approaching .500. They’re hitting fairly well and are averaging 4.7 runs and 8.0 hits in that span. The pitching will be the important part of this team, and Alex Cobb is one of those pieces as he leads the team with a 1.97 ERA, and in three of his last five starts, he’s gone over seven shutout innings, including one complete game.

Pick: Under 7.5 (-102)
