Philadelphia Phillies to Win World Series +1900

After what has been a truly disastrous first weekend for the Phillies, their price here feels way too low. They have the makings of an elite offense and two true aces, along with several other solid back end of the rotation options. The issue is and always has been the bullpen. However, there is enough upside in here where we can squint and see the type of bullpen that lets them make another run.

Chicago White Sox To Win World Series +4000 (+270 to win Division)

This may be a wild overreaction to a 2-2 start to the season, but the White Sox looked great against the defending champs. They have a really good top two and three other pitchers who have flashed CY Young caliber production in short stints. The offense won’t be top-five overall, but there is enough talent here to get hot at the right time and make a run. They will have a fight for the division, which is likely why the odds are so low here, but they are good enough that them winning the division and making a WS push will not be a shock to anyone.

Baltimore Orioles to Make Playoffs +390

It is really hard to judge teams off one series, but the Orioles’ offense was impressive on the first weekend. They appear to be uniquely skilled and willing to take advantage of the new rules to enhance base stealing. Their rotation is a massive question mark, and they seemingly lack power upside, but they might be able to do just enough to take that next step forward.
