MLB To Hit a Home Run Player Prop Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/11)

It's another stacked slate across Major League Baseball as all 30 teams hit the field Tuesday evening. There are a couple of intriguing storylines around the league, but none bigger than the Rays and their 10-0 start to the season.

They've used the home run to propel them to the untouchable start, mashing a league-leading 25 bombs this season. I wasn't able to find any worthwhile numbers for Tampa in terms of home run props tonight, but I am locked in on these three home run props for tonight's action.

Marcus Semien (+450)

The Rangers picked up a dominant 11-2 victory over the Royals last night, improving their record to 6-4 on the young season. They'll go for their third straight win tonight as they turn to Jacob deGrom to handle the starting pitching responsibilities. Kansas City counters with Jordan Lyles in this American League clash scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET from Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX.

Lyles isn't off to the best start with his eighth team in his career. The right-handed journeyman comes into tonight's game at 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA and 1.36 WHIP over 11.0 innings. Lyles has allowed six earned runs so far this year, and he's already given up two long balls.

It won't get much easier for Lyles tonight as he takes on a Rangers side that's slashing .333/.433/.588 over 51 at-bats against him. Marcus Semien has fared very well against the righty, going 8-16 (.500) with a pair of big flies. The middle infielder is hitting just .209 with one homer to start the year, but this matchup offers a great opportunity for him to collect his second bomb.

C.J. Cron (+500)

The Rockies shocked the slumping Cardinals last night, winning the series opener 7-4. St. Louis will attempt to halt their two-game skid this evening when they send Miles Mikolas to the hill. Colorado counters with Kyle Freeland in this National League showdown slated for 8:40 p.m. ET from Coors Field in Denver, CO.

Mikolas has had a forgettable start to the new campaign, sitting at 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA and 2.14 WHIP over two starts. Most recently, the right-hander was touched up for five earned runs on nine hits and a walk against the Braves. Mikolas was saddled with the loss in the 6.0-inning effort.

He'll be tasked with taking on the Rockies tonight at the unforgiving Coors Field. He's actually kept Colorado in check throughout his career, limiting them to a .235/.261/.388 slash line over 85 at-bats. However, C.J. Cron is 2-3 (.667) against him with a home run and a double. Considering the elevation combined with Cron's history, I think it's worth a sprinkle that the first baseman goes yard tonight.

Willy Adames (+390)

The Diamondbacks earned their fourth straight win last night, edging out the visiting Brewers in a 3-0 affair. Merrill Kelly gets the nod tonight for the Snakes, while Craig Counsell opts for Corbin Burnes in game two of the series. This one gets underway at 9:40 p.m. ET from Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ.

Kelly's off to a decent start in the new season, sitting at 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA and 1.82 WHIP over 9.1 innings pitched. He's faced the Dodgers in both starts, most recently giving up four earned runs on six hits and four walks. The right-hander lasted 5.2 innings and took the loss in the 5-2 game.

While the Diamondbacks' starter has limited the Brewers to a .217/.270/.435 slash line over 69 at-bats, they've gotten to him for four home runs. One of those bombs belongs to Willy Adames, who has gone 5-12 (.417) against him. The shortstop is off to a hot start this year, hitting .306 with two home runs and seven RBI. Let's take a shot with Adames to hit a homer tonight in the valley.
