Saturdayâs Best MLB Home Run Prop Bets
Ryan Mountcastle (+350) & Adley Rutschman (+450)
Andrew Abbott has given up five home runs this year, all to right-handed hitters. In seven innings pitched, Abbott has only allowed one run on run to opposing left-handed hitters, so despite Gunnar Henderson being one of the hottest hitters in baseball, we are going to pass on his HR Prop today, which may bite us in the butt later on.
That brings us to Mountcastle and Rutschman. These two are tied for the team lead in runs (3) against opposing left-handed pitchers. They are also 1 and 2 in batting average and SLG%.
Of the four HRs Adley has hit this year, three have come off lefties, while Mountcastle has three of his five HRs off a lefty as well.
Edouard Julien (+750)
The Red Sox may start Chase Anderson or go with a bullpen game, beginning with Brennan Bernardino.
Typically, itâs hard for hitters to get comfortable in games like this since they may see a new pitcher in every at-bat, but Julian smashes right-handed pitching. Six of his seven HRs have come against RHP, a team-high, and a .272 ISO.
Christian Walker (+420)
Michael King is on the mound for the Padres this afternoon. King has allowed four or more earned runs in three of his last four starts while allowing eight HRs in that same period.
Christina Walker leads the Diamondbacks in HRs, ISO, SLG%, and wRC+. Among players with at least 80 at-bats, that number by Walker is inside the top 25 in the league.
